The image upload fails in Windows Phone 8 (Nokia Lumia 720). I'm using the latest stable version of the plugin r0.4.5 from below. https://github.com/apache/cordova-plugin-file-transfer/blob/master/doc/index.md The example mentioned as part of the plugin document from the above link is not working in Windows Phone 8. The issue is with sending params object as part of the request options. The upload works when params object is removed from the request. There is a work around for this as we can send the required params as part of the server URL itself. Example: https://someserver?param1=param1param2=param2; Sending params like above works. But of course your server side code should be able to extract it if required. But there are many servers which discard any extra param being sent to it as part of the URl and would not consider it. [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-7487?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ] Ian Clelland resolved CB-7487. -- Resolution: Fixed Writing a file doesn't show up on android MTP - Key: CB-7487 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-7487 Project: Apache Cordova Issue Type: Bug Components: Android, Plugin File Affects Versions: 3.4.0 Environment: Nexus 5 and Windows 7 Reporter: David Peacock Assignee: Ian Clelland Using the file plug-in to write out a file works, but when you use MTP to view the file when connected to USB on Windows the file doesn't show up. The file shows up on the device or through adb. Rebooting the device or using things to refresh the MTP will have the file appear. This was tested on multiple Nexus 5 devices on multiple Windows 7 machines. Cordova should be broadcasting ACTION_MEDIA_SCANNER_SCAN_FILE on the file to have it appear immediately. I will be submitting a pull request on the file plug-in for a fix I've tested and confirmed that resolves this issue. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332) - To unsubscribe, e-mail: issues-unsubscr...@cordova.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: issues-h...@cordova.apache.org

Try xhr to a local server using: https://gist.github.com/enjalot/2904124 Note that it works with the wildcard of course. By default, file:// urls give the Origin: header as null. The only solution is, the destination server MUST return the header Access-Control-Allow-Origin that matches the wildcard or null. So what is the alternative? Run a local proxy. The PhoneGap Developer App does this transparently: https://github.com/phonegap/phonegap-app-developer by overriding XMLHttpRequest.open -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332) - To unsubscribe, e-mail: issues-unsubscr...@cordova.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: issues-h...@cordova.apache.org

We need to secure access to the local webserver, probably through a session token in the header, since background apps can have access to the webserver. The session token is passed down to the initially loaded local page specified from the content tag in config.xml, and should be used in the cordova.exec call. We would also need to implement local proxy support , see CB-7348 This all sounds more complex than it needs to be than just loading a file url -- wishing Apple would just fix this in iOS 8.1 instead. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332) - To unsubscribe, e-mail: issues-unsubscr...@cordova.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: issues-h...@cordova.apache.org

Part of the tests should install the `wkwebview-engine` plugin and re-run the same tests. Some tests assume a UIWebView, like the User-Agent tests, and this is ok (there is code in there that checks for this). Some tests like StartPage should also support WKWebView. Any code that relies on the synchronous `stringByEvaluatingJavaScriptFromString` needs to change to use the async `evaluateJavascript:completionHandler:` of CDVWebViewEngineProtocol. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332) - To unsubscribe, e-mail: issues-unsubscr...@cordova.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: issues-h...@cordova.apache.org

[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-7348?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:all-tabpanel ] Shazron Abdullah resolved CB-7348. -- Resolution: Not a Problem Assignee: Shazron Abdullah [WKWebView] pages that are loaded using file:/// urls respect CORS -- Key: CB-7348 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-7348 Project: Apache Cordova Issue Type: Sub-task Components: iOS Environment: iOS 8 Reporter: Shazron Abdullah Assignee: Shazron Abdullah Not a complaint but an advisory, this is the opposite of what happens in a UIWebView, where a page loaded locally is not restricted to CORS and can do whatever it wants.
[jira] [Created] (CB-7992) Weird behavior when more than one script tag for cordova.js
Julian Horn created CB-7992: --- Summary: Weird behavior when more than one script tag for cordova.js Key: CB-7992 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-7992 Project: Apache Cordova Issue Type: Bug Reporter: Julian Horn If a program has more than one script tag for cordova.js, weird behavior ensues. This file should protect itself against multiple inclusion; this is a not-uncommon newbie mistake. The problems I've seen are in the android version of cordova.js, but it's possible that other platforms have similar problems. The weird behavior states with this console message: Falling back on PROMPT mode since _cordovaNative is missing. Expected for Android 3.2 and lower only. Then you see a dialog that says gap:[PluginManager,startup,PluginManager818789619] (OK) (Cancel) Without going into all the details, if you click Cancel you live. If you click OK you will hang. These weird dialogs are put up by this code: {code}// file: src/android/android/promptbasednativeapi.js define(cordova/android/promptbasednativeapi, function(require, exports, module) { /** * Implements the API of ExposedJsApi.java, but uses prompt() to communicate. * This is used only on the 2.3 simulator, where addJavascriptInterface() is broken. */ module.exports = { exec: function(service, action, callbackId, argsJson) { return prompt(argsJson, 'gap:'+JSON.stringify([service, action, callbackId])); },{code} This is some kind of error recovery code. You can probably work out how this gets activated when I tell you that the console also shows this message: Uncaught module cordova/plugin_list already defined -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v6.3.4#6332) - To unsubscribe, e-mail: issues-unsubscr...@cordova.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: issues-h...@cordova.apache.org
