I am trying to build cordova ios application using grunt . It woks fine if I 
don't add app group to capabilities. Once add app group 
group.com.XXX.internal.ent2.XXX.XXX. to app group  the build is failing

### What does this PR do?

When you have a device connected, "cordova run ios" does not build for 
device, only for emulator.
The logic to detect that a device is connected is only in the run phase, 
not the build phase, thus it was failing.

### What testing has been done on this change?

Manual add of platform, then "cordova platform run ios" with device 
connected and disconnected, and adding "--emulator" and "--device" flag 
combinations.

I even did "cordova platforms add node_modules/cordova-ios" (after 'npm install

Looks like a bug -- "cordova run ios" should deploy to device *if* connected 
*and* use the new build settings needed by Xcode 8.
Doing a "cordova run ios --developmentTeam=XSGSGS" (with the right 
developmentTeam setting) does not fix this.

If you run "cordova run ios --device" it should fail as well since you didn't 
specify the developmentTeam. Are you specifying this by modifying it on the 
command line or through Xcode?

Thank you for the information.

I removed the {{provisioningProfile}} field from my {{config.json}} and aded 
the {{developmentTeam: }}, {{packageType: enterprise}} fields and changed 
the {{codeSignIdentity}} to {{iPhone Developer}} as you suggested.

This appears to have worked! Thank you! BUT the resulting log statements during 
the build process are very confusing.

During the build process it will output the {{Entitlements}} with 
{{aps-environment: development}} which should be {{production}} as I sign it 
with an enterprise provisioning profile.
It will also output the {{Signing Identity}} and {{Provisioning Profile}} which 
are both "wrong" as they do not represent the enterprise profile.
The resulting .ipa has been correctly signed with the enterprise profile but 
the logs suggest otherwise.

I am having the same issue, I have now also tried to move the icons into the 
res folder like the docs now show and that is not working either. No matter 
what I do, I am unable to  get the icons and splash screen to show.

I use the WKWebViewEngine plugin together with local-webserver (due to CORS 
restrictions when trying to load e.g. local audio files to play back using 
WebAudio). However, the local-webserver plugin modifies the `` tag in 
my config.xml, affecting all platforms, and making android builds not work 
anymore. This is quite bad and in my opinion a plugin should never touch the 
config.xml file but only provide settings etc. via the regular plugin mechanism.

My workaround is to override the content value inside a `` block of my config.xml. And this is what the local-webserver 
plugin should do. It should just put the content override in the iOS platform 
tag, and not use hook scripts.

I have the same problem, after upgrading the platform I now get default 
cordova icons for my android build, even though with the previous version of 
the platform all icons and splash screen images were in place and all specified 
in config.xml.

I use ionic framework to auto generate all splash / icon images and insert 
them into the config.xml
