[jira] [Commented] (CB-13151) cordova-ios documentation could use a "supported iOS versions" table like Android has one

Right now everything is in blog posts. A table is a good idea.
Usually when a new version of iOS happens, we support it and a version back. So
when iOS 11 is released for example, in the next release (minor version), we
will only support iOS 11 and 10 going forward.

That plugin looks good and is an acceptable way to workaround this. Would be

If the slash in file-URI is still missing, I would look for a inject mechanism

> Potential solution:
> We could create an Android only preference called PlayServicesVersion in

> In config.xml:

> it's plugin.xml it would do:
> {code}
> src="com.google.android.gms:play-services-analytics:$PlayServicesVersion" />
> {code}
> they would both use the same version of Play Services. This gets around the

> The + wildcard fails to compile with the following error:

[~JonasV] This sounds like a Pixel C issue if the problem isn't manifesting.
The Nexus 5X should in theory have the same problems, but there's something on
the firmware that's probably causing it to go in the background. Given your
investigation, I'm going to lower the priority since it's clearly just the
Pixel C on a Dev Firmware that hasn't been released.

Thanks for doing the legwork on this issue. Currently my Nexus 5X is MIA, so I
only have my Pixel phone to test Android O issues on.

[jira] [Commented] (CB-12719) Dialogs

For android it appears they use "Alert" and "Confirm" for titles.
https://github.com/apache/cordova-android/blob/ad01d28351c13390aff4549258a0f06882df59f5/framework/src/org/apache/cordova/CordovaDialogsHelper.java#L38

Could the solution be to have the platforms title alert/confirm/prompt in a
consistent way and then direct users to dialog element/polyfill if they need
more customization options?

[~jcesarmobile], when using WKWebView it delegates all alert behavior to its
WKWebViewUIDelegate. The WKWebView plugin uses CFBundleDisplayName instead of
the filename for all titles. So assuming you just want a nicer title for alerts
and confirms, WKWebView could be an alternative to the dialog plugin on iOS. I
think that's one of the most common use cases.

On the other hand this doesn't seem like a very high maintenance plugin. Most
of the commits in the past year are updating the readme or CI.

Resolution: Not A Problem

The plugin name needed to be change from org.apache.cordova.dialogs to

[~piero.alberto] I haven't fixed it yet. The unit tests are for cordova-ios
repo, and are not for the end user. When it is done, it will be in the new
cordova-ios. I *may* provide instructions for a hot-fix.

An aside (but related), these two functions shouldn't be part of a generic
node-xcode pbxProj parser:
https://github.com/alunny/node-xcode/blob/078625f16c102372965cc5a4f6a8f7a5145d36aa/lib/pbxProject.js#L85-L110

(these are highly Cordova specific, and should be a mixin/extension).
This leads to code like this:
