Thanks everyone for your assistance. Time is really short to application
dateline now however, I spent last night going through the suggested material
and the Extension framework, I was able to write a draft proposal which I have
submitted on the summerofcode site. please leave some comments so I can make
any necessary corrections before submitting the final proposal. Wish me good
luck please.

[~gracekaboh] the work to add advance stats for any plugin primarily resides
only in the Fragmenter. Feel free to submit a proposal to work on both the
plugins but keep the 2 jiras separate for tracking and work purpose.

Hi Goden,

Thanks for the kind feedback. I have been going through the Extension framework
and I understand exactly how it is used to add new engines to HAWQ through the
3 classes (Accessor, Fragmenter and Resolver). Our work relies mainly in the
fragmenter class for the HBase plugin for now but I will sumbit a proposal
extending my work to the Hive plugin as well. In case we don't finish the two
tasks in the GSoC time frame. We can still continue work to a couple of weeks
after GSoC but the objective for GSoC is to work on the HBase fragmenter class.
