I'm pretty sure my issue is the same as [~giladwolff], since I've seen the scenario as well as the code. And our issue is not the same as this one indeed. I commented here only because many experts have discussed the related issue here. I've worked around by adding "reconnect()" of IMetaStoreClient, in RetryingMetaStoreClient, after catching a SocketTimeoutException. Back then, the fix seems to have addressed the issue that was observed. The issue you are seeing is probably caused by a different scenario even though the exception might be the same.
