Apologies,  Without reading how to commit to Apache Solr i have raised the pull 
request. After reading the documentation, i came to know that i have to create 
a Jira issue and commit it to  github from my fork.

That is why i created a Jira issue,  if it is ok with you, i will try to raise 
a PR next week.

[~balaji-s], I'm a little confused what to do with this. I see there was also a 
GitHub pull request [1], but you closed it without explanation shortly after 
creating it. Is that not the way to solve the problem? Should this Jira issue 
also be closed?
