Apache OpenOffice 4.0.1
AOO401m5(Build:9714) - Rev. 1524958
2013-09-20 11:40:29 (Fr, 20 Sep 2013)

Powerpoint 2010
Version 14.0.7106.5003 (64-bit)

Description:
I was not able to reproduce this issue with PowerPoint 2010 through the sample
file provided by user ceoparadigm in the thread referenced in the opening
comment: https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=116023#c0

Both OO 4.0.1 and PP 2010 show the presentation in a very similar fashion,
including animations and sounds.

I was also not able to replicate the problem with a freshly made PPT, but I
will try with another version of PowerPoint.

I don't think that a Bug can be CONFIRMED with key word needmoreinfo, and
many questions (except that the problem DID exist) are wihtout answer.

I just started a test with 4.0.1 Japanese UI and sample documents, we will see
...
can someone who reproduced the problem with 3.4 try with 4.0.1 again?
Currently I only see confirmations for WIN.

I opened both from menu 'File - Open', typed a sinngle character into an
arbitrary empty cell in both documents and saved both under new names. Then I
modified settings to Autosave every 1 minutes, then again typed 2 additional
characters into additional empty cells.

Nothing unusual during 10 minutes, and I see backup files for both documents in

[Bug 123672] New: Crashes when attempting page preview

2013-11-10 Thread bugzilla
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=123672

Bug ID: 123672
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Crashes when attempting page preview
   Product: Calc
   Version: 4.0.1
  Hardware: PC
OS: Windows 8
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: P3
 Component: viewing
  Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
  Reporter: do...@kent.net
CC: issues@openoffice.apache.org

When I attempt to preview the page that I am working on, the file crashes. I
have tried using the icon in the header bar, and also using File/Print preview,
but the same result for both.

Yesterday, I was working with a different calc file and the same issue
happened. I had page breaks inserted in the file on the tab that I was working
on, removed the page break and then the page preview operated correctly. I
removed all of the page breaks on this file, but still receive a crash.

While I am writing this, I remembered that the current file has print ranges in
use. When I remove all of the print ranges of the file, then the page preview
operates properly.

As an aside, there are 2 other issues that may be related or may not be.

First, while the print ranges are in use, the current file does not appear in
the list of recent documents under File, but it does now after removing the
print ranges.

Second, when the program crashed, the page appeared that said an error report
was being generated, but nothing showed up for me to view or submit.

[Bug 123673] New: download_external_dependencies.pl downloads gunzipped copies of the archives from some servers

2013-11-10 Thread bugzilla
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=123673

Bug ID: 123673
Issue Type: DEFECT
   Summary: download_external_dependencies.pl downloads gunzipped
copies of the archives from some servers
   Product: Build Tools
   Version: 4.1.0-dev
  Hardware: All
OS: All
Status: CONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: P3
 Component: external prerequisites
  Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
  Reporter: pesce...@apache.org

Running ./bootstrap results in a few errors of the form:

downloading to
.../ext_sources/8127a65e8c3b08856093099b52599c86-libxml2-2.7.8.tar.gz.part
MD5 checksum does not match (0a82c3b58c9d54468a387c1aa5fc0e7c instead of
8127a65e8c3b08856093099b52599c86)

downloading to
.../ext_sources/067a04150b1d8b64f7da3019688a7547-nss-3.14.4-with-nspr-4.9.5.tar.gz.part
MD5 checksum does not match (e60dfb762d50d88b1c8b41d361a3fd43 instead of
067a04150b1d8b64f7da3019688a7547)

The errors are not due to a corrupt download, but to the fact that
download_external_dependencies.pl apparently at times decides to gunzip the
file it is downloading (or the server sends it uncompressed for some reason).

The two non-matching checksums above are actually the correct MD5SUM of the
.tar file (as opposed to the .tar.gz file).

Suggestions on the net say that the LWP useragent can be tweaked to enforce it
to accept gzipped content. The problematic call appears to be
my $content = LWP::Simple::get($URL);
on line 561 of download_external_dependencies.pl

Closing issue due to reporter's inactivity. No way to get this one
reproducible. And the simple workaround seems to be th close the documents from
time to time.

@reporter:
Please feel free to reopen this issue if you find out that the problem still
exists in the latest public release of AOO and if you can provide requested
additional information. We need a test kit (Attachment here in the Bug report)
and a detailed step by step instruction how to reproduce your problem, for
details please see http://wiki.openoffice.org/wiki/QA/HowToFileIssue!

Excel 2007:
A1 =SUM(
