The Database stuff worked fine with 4.1.0. After upgrading to 4.1.1, it can't find the Java installation. I am running OSX 10.9.5 I even tried going in to preferences in AOO and manually pointing to the Apple Java Runtime environment since it doesn't automatically show up on the available list of runtimes. I posted this bug report not because I am a developer, but because I am a user for whom OpenOffice is currently basically unusable. Bit alarmed that the only response has been to point me in the direction of temporary autosave files, when the issue is that autosave stops working, and saving subsequently makes the whole program fail, sometimes with a proper crash report, sometimes silently, sometimes with a general access fault. I am very happy to work with developers to try and pinpoint the problem, but regrettably I'm not one myself so I'm not in a position to do more than report the fault and try and duplicate it in a useful way for someone with more knowledge than me.
