  Hardware: PC
OS: Windows XP
Status: UNCONFIRMED

  Priority: P5
 Component: editing
  Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org

Spell checker is not recognising any words at all - it shows errors for all
words including the, and and everything else. This happens regardless of
the language I choose, such as UK English or US English.

Thanks for the prompt response. That worked exactly as it should - does a full
word check now. Thank you.

[Issue 112383] CLng(HFFFFFFFF) fails on 64-bits rather than returning -1

2015-08-28 Thread bugzilla

(In reply to damjan from comment #8)
 Hi Kay, I don't understand.

Help - The Target Milestone field is used to define when the engineer the
issue is assigned to expects to fix it.

 (1) It's already fixed in SVN HEAD, and (2) it was never assigned to me.
What else does Target Milestone mean?

I had never looked at the Help for Target Milestone before, so this is
interesting information, and thank you for brining this to my attention.

As many of the original engineers assigned to OpenOffice issues are no longer
with the project, we have been relying on actual committers/fixers to set the
Target Milestone. In this sense, we use Target Milestone to mean the version of
Apache OpenOffice in which we expect the fix will be delivered.

The usual starting point for spellcheck problems is to delete or rename the
OpenOffice user profile. Doing this sorts out a very large proportion [read:
most] of OpenOffice stability problems. Details of how to do this are given in
https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=74t=12426

First changes have been done in http://svn.apache.org/r1698423 ; still some
work left, like update URLs.

[Issue 126493] New: Inserting Pictures

2015-08-28 Thread bugzilla
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=126493

  Issue ID: 126493
Issue Type: DEFECT
   Summary: Inserting Pictures
   Product: Impress
   Version: 4.1.1
  Hardware: PC
OS: Windows 7
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: normal
  Priority: P5
 Component: editing
  Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
  Reporter: brettb...@gmail.com

Created attachment 84895
  -- https://bz.apache.org/ooo/attachment.cgi?id=84895action=edit
It sets the single image as a background all i want is the image in the blank
space

It seems like every other time I try and insert a picture either by coping the
picture from the clipboard or by opening it from a file it always seems to set
it inside one of my text boxes.

Like right now I am trying to insert this image into my presentation:

http://nsprod.blob.core.windows.net/article/Amerex--20-lb--ABC-Multi-Purpose-Dry-Chemical-Fire-Extinguisher-with-Wall-Bracket_16000681_800881545_0_0_14075305_300.jpg

But all it keeps doing is making it the background or hatching it seems like of
the big text box I have there already. It does this almost every time I add an
image while I am using text boxes or shapes while in Writer.

Usually Deleting the Text box works but lately it has just been placing it
inside another (usually smaller) text box on the screen somewhere.
