My tests with AOO420m1(Build:9800)  -  Rev. 1702819
2015-09-14_03:50:18 - Rev. 1702851 and Linux(64)

Filtering dates works well with a registerd data source in the data source
window and in the mail merge dialog.

1.7.99 snaps in as #01.07.1999# with German locale
7/1/99 snaps in as #07/01/1999# with US locale

It works equally well with grid views opened from the database window, with
form based filters and dialog based filters ("standard filter") and when
entering date arguments to the query designer.

Hard coded ISO date strings work well as in:
SELECT * FROM "TBL" WHERE "D" BETWEEN '1999-12-01' AND '2000-03-01'

BUT NOT any hashed dates:
SELECT * FROM "TBL" WHERE "D" BETWEEN #1999-12-01# AND #2000-03-01#
(I think this is perfectly fine since localized (hashed) dates should follow
the locale of the current GUI and should not be hard coded in SQL)

I can substitute date parameters of parameter queries with localized dates and
ISO dates as in
SELECT * FROM "TBL" WHERE "D" BETWEEN :Date1 AND :Date2
Parameter substitution works with subforms and with the built-in dialog.

Function call with parameter:
SELECT "TBL".* FROM "TBL" WHERE Month("D") = Month(:Param)

I can create reports from the above queries.

Right now, I don't know what else could be tested.

1) The UI function "B" is specified by OpenFormula as "BINOM.DIST.RANGE"
(http://docs.oasis-open.org/office/v1.2/os/OpenDocument-v1.2-os-part2.html#BINOM_DIST_RANGE)
but AOO writes it as "B" into the XML.

2) The UI function "EASTERSUNDAY" is not specified by OpenFormula. LibreOffice
writes it as "ORG.OPENOFFICE.EASTERSUNDAY", so should AOO.

3) The most serious one: The UI function "RRI" is spec'ed as such by
OpenFormula
(http://docs.oasis-open.org/office/v1.2/os/OpenDocument-v1.2-os-part2.html#RRI)
but AOO writes it as "ZGZ" to the ODS file which is the German translation of
"RRI".

4) The UI function "TDIST" is spec'ed as "LEGACY.TDIST"
(http://docs.oasis-open.org/office/v1.2/os/OpenDocument-v1.2-os-part2.html#LEGACY_TDIST)
but AOO writes it as "TDIST".

Screenshot of broken Fontwork window

Customize a toolbar with the command "Fontwork" from the category "Format".
Draw an arc and apply text to it. (Use double-click or key F2 to get into edit
mode.)
While the arc is still selected click on new icon "Fontwork".
You get a window with some tools.

Notice, that the window is too small and not high enough and therefore the
tools in that window are not usable, see attached screenshot.

I can modify a cell and put a formula, it works. The formula is remembered by
the cell.

There are two oddities in this document (that was converted from Excel):

1 - Most cells have style Excel Built-in Normal. In this style, numbers are
formatted in English (US) language, i.e. with a dot as decimal separator
 Some cells (e.g. E10 to E16) have style Default. In this style, numbers are
formatted in the default language of the user. For me it is french, where comma
is decimal separator.
This difference means you must type numbers according to the format of each
cell, or else it will not be understood as numbers.

2 - Sheet1 contents looks very clumsy.
Cell G9 contains =SUM($E$9-$F$9)  that can be simplified as  =E9-F9
Cells G10 to G17 contain a value instead of a formula. The formula could be
obtained with a simple drag from cell G9.
Cells E19 to G19 contain a value instead of a formula, e.g. =SUM(E9:E18)
In the range G26:G38 there are sometimes a value, sometimes a formula.


In conclusion : WORKS FOR ME.
Perhaps a purge of your OpenOffice profile will solve your problem.
