[Issue 128193] Fedora 29: DE 4.1.6 segmentation fault since a few days
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=128193 --- Comment #4 from Peter --- I do not think an upstream rebuild would fix the issue. We build on CentOS. I would recommend localizing the root cause for the segmentation fault which is if caused by an fedora update the removal of a library. you can find that out by doing an ldd on the soffice.bin file in the openoffice folder. For me this is still a downstream issue. I am on Arch Linux and have no issues you describe. If you want 4 builds a year do it yourself we have guides on the wiki. We are already thin spread with the volunteers we have. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue.

[Issue 128193] Fedora 29: DE 4.1.6 segmentation fault since a few days
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=128193 --- Comment #2 from Don't show my email --- of course it happens on my machine, thats why i opened a bugreport :) Or do you want segmentation faults to happen within your product? The OO v4.1.6 is from 2018, we had 2 new releases of Fedora in this time. Do you agree, that a system can have a major change from one release to another? If so, the only way to compensate this, is to relase more frequent updates for your product ;) Please recompile it at least 4x times a year. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue.
[Issue 128194] bugzilla mailserver does not use TLS on outbound connections => securiy problem and GDPR violation
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=128194 Matthias Seidel changed: What|Removed |Added CC||msei...@apache.org --- Comment #5 from Matthias Seidel --- However, this is not a bug in OpenOffice, but in the Bugzilla installation. So the issue should be raised with ASF Infra, who is maintaining this (and other) installations. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue.
[Issue 128194] bugzilla mailserver does not use TLS on outbound connections => securiy problem and GDPR violation
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=128194 --- Comment #4 from Don't show my email --- Of course you did not leak any personal informations yet, thats not the point. EU GDPR §32 states, that if easy and simple possible, the genernal transport of personal data has to be encrypted/protected. The fact, that you as receiver can't know in advance, what people will send to you via email, leads to the consequence, that you have to protect any incoming transmission. I am part of a european corp/organisation and we have to obey the GDPR, as it's a european law. So, any disabling of the TLS enforce policy, means a violation for us, because in that timeframe a mail with personal data could come in. I admin, it's theoratically, first, but if i have to leave the tls enforcer disabled, for every mail your bugzilla is sending, i.e. as reaction to a ticket, it's no longer theoratically, it becomes a real violation. Means in the end, a lawfull corp/org has to block unencrypted email traffic. The worst part is the fact, that you send it unencrypted at all. We have 2019! Not 1990. I had the same discussion with mozilla, and i won :) Be nice, enable tls for tls capable mailservers. Besides the eu friendly policy, it's a security enhancement, as sensitive informations are no longer send in plain text around the globe. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue.

Sender benutzte keine TLS gesicherte Verbindung. I had to disable the EU GDPR Policychecks to get the account token mail, which is a DP violation for european corps and organisations. (§32 EU GDPR 2016 , if you wanne know more about the impacts on the EU, you can check the EXIM ML from last friday ;) ) As you can see, NO ENCRYPTION was used at all. The mailserver sends LOGIN TOKENS without encryption to anyone, which is a security issue in itself, but gets worse, when i have to assume, that sensitive bugreport content is also send without encryption around the planet. Mozilla had the same problem, and that you also have it, makes me thinking. They fixed it this year. It's possible that the bugzilla stack has a small security problem. FYI: a news report about this issue has already been launched today, taking it seriously would be a smart move. BTW: the emailaddress for this account, had a AF BZ account before, but for some unkown reasons, it got completly removed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue.

My home PC has 3 user profiles/accounts. An amdin and 2 other non admin users. Only 1 of the non admin user profiles has this issue. All words are underlined red as if spelt wrong. It has been like this for a long while now but can't remember how long. Believed this maybe as think added an additional english dictionary a long time ago. Tried to update of writer but kept failing. Believe version was 4.1.0.xxx so gave in and logged in to admin profile and uninstalled OpenOffice. The reinstalled 4.1.6 Same result! Admin profile worked fine spelling all ok. Went to the user profile and still underlining as if spelling errors. Checked all options/ language settings and all looked fine. Decided to uninstall & install OpenOffice 4.1.6 from the user profile to see if it did a better job of removing all files/components in case it was missing a profile specific dictionary that was no longer supported etc. No change still underlining all words in that user's profile/account. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue.
[Issue 113171] OO does not paste the text contents of the Windows clipboard - instead, it pastes the previous text copied in OO
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=113171 Peter changed: What|Removed |Added CC||peter.kai...@mawi-gmbh.de --- Comment #38 from Peter --- We have encountered the same problem on Windows 7 and now on Windows 10 on several PCs. There has been proposals to "clear" the Cclipboard by issuing the command: cmd.exe /c “echo off | clip” This does not work. Just tested. Another porposal to make a screenshot also does not work. Closing the OO software completely and reopen works fine. Just close the relevant document does NOT work. The problem is the same on OO and on LibreOffice, too. Older problems of OO and the newest stable Libre Office have botrh this problem. In our cases, the problem just only happens, when something from an external application like Firefox or Writer or Word is copied into OO or LO through the clipboard. There is no difference to copy it by copy-C or right click mouse | copy. We can use drag | drop with left click mouse and pull into OO or LO. But this is not alwayse the best workable solution. We might now change back to Microsoft Office because this problem has now - after 20 years of StartOffice, OpenOffice, LibreOffice - created so much frustration, that I cannot accept to work like this any more. Would be glad to hear one day, that this problem is fixed. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the issue. You are on the CC list for the issue.
