FlexLM license manager, Java and Linux

I've been playing around with FlexLM for Java on Linux, in anticipation of
my company using it as the license manager for our Java client-side
application.

I'm trying things out with Sun's Java SDK 1.3.1 on Suse 7.0 (Professional),
and can't get FlexLM working. It seems to be a Linux thing, since
Globetrotter's web site mentions customer's strange experiences with using
it on Linux. It does work on our RS6000, but then I have to go into the
office to develop :-/

If anyone has successfully used FlexLM for Java on Linux, I'd be interested
to hear of your experiences.

javax.comm for Linux on StrongARM

I'm running Blackdown JRE 1.3.1 on a Compaq Ipaq (strongARM).  The
operating system is Familiar v0.4.

Java needs to talk to the serial port of the Ipaq, so I need the Java
Communications API. Any links to javax.comm for Linux/StrongARM?
