A bit of a crash!
Hi, I'm encountering a crash whilst runnig a java application in the 1.3 JRE. The crash is almost certainly to do with the fact that I'm running on a very minimal system with XFree86-4.2 . Can anyone identify what might be causing the problem? It looks like either a font issue (in pSetFont + I don't have many fonts available to X) or a threads issue (in __pthread_mutex_trylock). I'm using native_threads and the client VM. Here follows the dying words of my application... An unexpected exception has been detected in native code outside the VM. RE: A bit of a crash!
All, If you set ulimit -s 2048 in the shell which you start java this should not happen. There is a bug filed in jdk database and I assume you are using sun jdk. There seems to be a problem in exception handling when using java thread. how to install additional-ipaq-stuff
Title: Message Hello, I am kind of a newbee here as well. :-( Sorry. Anyways, I have my iPAQ 3630 which runs familiar v0.5.3. I have been able to mount a windows directory, which holds all j2re 1.3.1 blackdown files. Everything is unpacked as requested. All I want to do is to get java running, so that I can try out the famous "hello world". I have added the j2re/bin directory to the PATH, but I am not really sure what to do with the additional ipaq stuff. What do I need to do with it? In addition, I got to work the following: # java/mnt/win/rc1/j2re-1.3.1-RC1-linux-arm.tar/j2re-1.3.1-RC1-linux-arm/j2re1.3.1/bin/armv4l/native_threads/java: error while loading shared libraries: libBrokenLocale.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory "java" here is the former .java_wrapper. What shall I do with this error message? I have been trying to locate such a file for my kernel version (2.4.18-rmk3), but did not locate such a file. Can anybody be of help? Thank you, alex
Re: how to install additional-ipaq-stuff
unzip additionsl-ipaq-stuff.tar.gz in the root directory. This will put the library and X-stuff where it needs to be. then run ldconfig to configure the run-time bindings, and the jre should be able to find the libBrokenLocal library At 06:51 PM 10/9/02 +0200, you wrote: Message size=2>Hello, size=2> I am kind of a newbee here as well. :-( Sorry. size=2> Anyways, I have my iPAQ 3630 which runs familiar v0.5.3. HI! i have a question for you: does jdk can be built with another widget set than lesstif/motif? like gtk or QT? This because a lot of pages show incorrect sizes of fields on forms with linux jdk. Thank you. smime.p7s Description: S/MIME Cryptographic Signature
