Re: Kaffe in RedHat Linux 6.1

1999-11-11 Thread Donatas Simkunas

kaffe seems to be faster than blackdown 1.1.7 java port, but it is not
jdk1.1 compatible. I cant get working any bigger java application with it.

java debuger

1999-11-11 Thread Donatas Simkunas

One simple question which java debuger you can recomend.
I tried jikes debuger but it crashed after several debuging steps. AnyJ
debuger seems to do same things it crashes after some debuging.
BTW i heard that it can be jikes problem cause it generates corrupted
debug information. but compile with javac is killing to me (jikes compiles
about 1 min. javac about 10).

Re: IDE's

1999-01-17 Thread Donatas Simkunas

I use AnyJ it is free for linux and have nice features:
1. _Very_ Fast
2. Has dynamic method or class completion for ex, if i type System.out.pr and
CTRL+SPACE it shows pop up where i can select method from output stream class.
3. Goes from method call to its definition.
4. Easy to integrate with external tools for ex with cvs
5. Debuggers is usable (but source files must be compiled only with javac (
class files compiled with jikes, makes debugger crash))

you can try to download it from
