I have experienced the same problem with 2.2.10. I 'm a novice, so I may have
done something wrong: I've rebuilt the kernel several times, strictly follwing
directions.

I'v found that I can operate using green threads (I only have one procesor
anyway).

Just say 'javac -green...', 'java -green...', 'appletviewer -green...'

Re: No more text in jdk1.2pre-v2 widgets

1999-08-04 Thread Doug Fort

I experienced this when I installed as root, and didn't have permission to read
the JRE .../fonts directory. There is a similar probelm with the JIT compiler
and .../bin.

This is in the known bugs list for earlier releases.

Re: Problem with Fonts

1999-09-20 Thread Doug Fort

I got this when I installed as root: my userid didn't have permissions on
.../jre/lib/fonts. When I straightened out the permisions, I started seeing
text on my components. (This is mentioned somewhere in the FAQ or known errors).
