The only times you would need to hit the enter key are at the fourth and fifth
steps. The shortcut keys themselves bring you where you need to be.

Thanks all for the help. If you decide you want only to change the Say
All voice and not Eloquence totally, this is what I found out.
Insert 6 for Configuration Manager. Hit enter.
Control-shift D for Default Hit enter.
Alt S for settings. Hit enter.
Down arrow to Say All Options and hit enter.
Tab to list of voices. Up and down arrow to select voice.
  Tab to OK button. Enter.
Alt F4 and answer Yes to save.

I'm open to suggestions for a good, user-friendly TV card or software for
watching my cable TV channels on my computer. I did have one but don't
think I can get it to work, and installing it wasn't very user-friendly.
Ideally I'd like to be able to find a good one that I can just get off the
Web somewhere and then back up myself. But of course I want one that works
well with Jaws and isn't too graphical. Thanks for any help.

[JAWS-Users] Finding a particular email.

Hello everyone,
I use outlook express for my email, and I deleted an email on accident that I
wanted to keep. Is there a quick and easy jaws key stroke to find that email
without looking through lots of deleted emails in my deleted items folder? I
hope there is a way because that is just too much email to look through. I am
running jaws 6, and I have windows XP home. Thanks in advance for any help

[JAWS-Users] Re: Jaws 8 repeating big-time

2007-02-02 Thread Annette Carr

If I am understanding you correctly, I am having the same problem with JAWS
7.1.5 and with 8 when using Outlook 2003. When using the up and down arrow
to scroll through the messages in my inbox, JAWS only reads the info from
one message and keeps repeating it as if your entire inbox is filled with
many messages from this one person on this one topic. I think the problem
is currently caused when new mail comes in while I am scrolling down through
the messages. In the past it used to happen when I had scrolled down
through the first screen worth of messages and then the remaining messages
were causing the previous messages to scroll up.

To fix the problem I minimize all programs by doing a Windows key+m, and
then ALT+TAB to get back to the Outlook inbox.

HTH,
Annette

8 repeats name and subject line information while arrowing through the list
in the in-box. Any ideas how to stop this? I am using Office XP Pro and
Windows XP Home

[JAWS-Users] Re: Finding a particular email.

2007-02-02 Thread Griffiths, Steve

Lisa,

I don't know of a JAWS one, but Outlook Express has a Find Message
keystroke, Control + Shift + F. Press it while you're in the Deleted
Items folder and then Tab through to the edit areas where you can put in
some search criteria such as a word that appeared in the subject. Then
press Enter to get a list of messages that meet your criteria.

The Find Message window isn't maximised, and you might find it a good
idea to maximise it so that you can read all the details of the messages
found. When you've got focus on the one you want, press the Applications
key or Shift + F10 and choose Move to Folder, then choose the folder you
want to put it into. Press Escape to close the Find Message window.

I've come to the unhappy conclusion that even for any kind of reading

[JAWS-Users] Burning a Cd with Media Player

2007-02-02 Thread Shirley Junge

Hello fellow JAWS users!

David suggested that I send this message to the list, so here it is. Today
was my first adventure into the world of burning a CD, and I felt confident
following the instructions available on the JAWS-Users web site. Hopefully,
someone can answer my questions, or at least help me understand what needs
to be done. This is what I initially sent to David, along with my thanks for
the audio tutorial pertaining to message rules for Outlook Express.
***
I also appreciate your instructions about burning CDs with Windows Media
Player. I was hesitant to experiment, but decided to give it a whirl. I had
no problem burning my first two CDs; however, now I am being given the
following message when I reach the point of the prompt to start the burning
process:

Windows Media Player Close Button
It is not possible to burn this list of files because all of the files have
errors or are missing burn rights. To learn more about the problems, click
the icon next to each file in the burn list. OK button

If my memory is correct, there were 502 in the list, which seems to be
everything I have played with this program. I tried to determine what the
error prompt referred to, or how to clear the items in this Burn list, but
no luck with either.

That's my problem. Perhaps I should use a different program. Any and all
suggestions or advice would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

For now...Shirley
