[JAWS-Users] Re: installing new voices for Jaws 8.0

2007-02-13 Thread Kerryann Ifill
Use the Windows key pus E to launch my computer and you should be able to
find the disk like that.
It didn't ask for a disk because it was already authorised on your system.
However, it might be a good Idea to walk with the cd to work just in case it
asks for the authorisation code.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] installing new voices for Jaws 8.0

Hi list,
I have just installed Jaws 8.0 on to my home desktop. WOW, that was the
longest Jaws install I think I have ever done smile. A couple of questions
I have though. After the install was finished and I did the required reboot
of my computer, I put the second Jaws 8.0 disk in, so as to install the new
voices. The disk however, will not boot up. Has anyone else experienced
this? I think you can manually start the disk through My computer in windows
XP. However, I don't have classic layout selected and can't find my
computer. My second point is, I noticed with Jaws 8.0, I wasn't prompted for
an authorization disk. Is that because, I already had Jaws 7.0 installed? If
so, what will happen when I install on to the desktops at work? Will I need
to use my old authorization disk? Like I said before, the last authorization
disk issued was with Jaws 6.0. According to my distributor, we have to keep
using that one.
Thanks for your help
Jason

[JAWS-Users] Wave Pack

2007-02-13 Thread David Ferrin

I'm in the process of uploading an audio compression program called wave
pack. It's free to use and the author clams no warranty according to the
read me file. What it does is compress wave files in to a smaller package
for transfer or storage. I use it myself and it's slick how easy it is to
operate.

I am using JAWS 6.0, XP Home and Windows Messenger. I know how to
IM with Windows Messenger. I now wish to learn how to use the speech feature
with a microphone in order to speak with someone using a headset and
microphone. I have

Can someone please give me the exact steps in detail what I must do after I
have signed into Win Messenger. with my email address and password in order

explanation.
For your help and guidance, thanks always!

Hi Folks,

As you are all painfully aware I recently installed Outlook XP as my default
E-mail client. Well it seems that Eudora is not done with me yet.
When I transferred all of my files from Eudora I managed to capture the
out-box folder from Eudora as well and now I can't get rid of the damn
thing. I tried the traditional method for deleting folders in Outlook to no
avail.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.

[JAWS-Users] Re: google mail again

2007-02-13 Thread Negoslav Sabev
Hi I have a Google account and I hope to help you with the settings.

When you go to the settings page while in a standard view use ctrl.+home to go
to the top of page. Press the letter t to go to the first table on that page.
You will hear something like row 1 column 1, language. Now use your up arrow
to go just above the table. You will heare
GeneralAccountsLabelsFiltersForwarding and POPChatWeb Clips. Here you should
do a jaws to virtual pc command. Find the row with the words
GeneralAccountsLabelsFiltersForwarding and POPChatWeb Clips. You may need to
maximize the window. I'm not shure but this should be as the tabs in a multy
tabs dialogue. I asoome you are looking for the pop3 protocol options. IN that
case you should move to the word pop and left click on it. Immediately the
table below that row will show the options you're looking for. Once they are
shown you can use the virtual cursor to navigate. you can press tab to move
through them and use enter key for forms mode if needed. When you finish with
your settings you can navigate to the buttons below and save or cancel your
changes

Now I'm going to sleep because here is 1:20 AM. If you have questions send them
to the list and hopefully someone else will answer you. Otherways I will see
what I can do for you in the mourning

[JAWS-Users] more good news from Eudora

2007-02-13 Thread Larry Stansifer

Keep in mind guys that as a certified Outlook guppy anything
I manage to accomplish is either by mistake or happenstance.
I found the outbox folder somewhere within the outlook
folder structure, again highlighted it and pressed the
delete key. This time I got the message Outlook is a
special folder, special folders can't be deleted.
It has now become a point of pride... the out-box dies.

[JAWS-Users] Re: more good news from Eudora

2007-02-13 Thread Bill Gallik

Larry,

Seems to me that the Outbox is one of those standard folders that's
created when you install Outlook or Outlook Express. I have Outlook 2000
(although I do not use that email client in deference to Outlook Express)
and I too have an Outbox.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Outbox is a holdover from the
old dial-up modems where it took considerable time to get messages on to
their eventual destinations. The Outbox was (and still is so far as I can
tell) a temporary holding folder for messages on their way on to the
Internet Highway.

You receive messages in your Inbox or its created subsidiaries or co-equals.
You send messages into your outbox, or you send immediately (shortcut through
it) to the outside world and your Sent Items folder. You should store
uncompleted still-draft or not-yet-proper messages in the Drafts folder. your
email program will try to empty its Outbox any chance it is given.
