[JAWS-Users] Outlook office Student 2003

2007-05-03 Thread Geno69

I thought that there might be some using Outlook Office Student 2003.
I have been wondering why I can not have a address auto added to my address
book. As, Nothing any where to offer it in said program. So did some
research and found that it doesn't come with the program. Two things were
lucky.
A: easy enough to do on line to get the up-grade at a cost of $15.00.
B: but, in using a credit card. This is an international (in my case) out of
Germany. At which I found my Credit Card is not open for international use.
The second there was no place for middle letter. So, I was lucky in that a
friend was here and he said yes, that is the only site and that his card was
good for international use. So, I just paid him.
Now, I can go in with my jaws and made it all good for any addresses that I
want to added to my 2003 Outlook Office address book.
The second thing in researching I had up-graded to the AVG PRO that you pay
for the 2 year contract. In talking to their tech people. With my ID number.
They noted that sometimes and more times than not. The laying over the AVG
PRO will not seed in and run as a PRO program. So, had to uninstall it all
and then install the AVG PRO. Which now works great.

[JAWS-Users] Re: planned updates to the audio page

2007-05-03 Thread Lennie Rinaldi

hello David,

Will you cover the part of cleaning the registry using CCleaner? I
have used CCleaner and I am looking forward to your audio since I
find it somewhat difficult to use the software with the Jaws curser.
I have not used the registry cleaning feature because I am concern
about messing up the registry. Have you ever used this feature?

Thanks,

Lennie

I just have a quick question for the list. Has anyone tried using a file

[JAWS-Users] adware removers

2007-05-03 Thread Lenny McHugh
Is there a one stop shop that is jaws friendly for removing adware?
I have been using ad-aware for a long time as did a friend. This friend was
having some computer problems and installed spybot. I followed his lead and
spybot found a few things that ad-aware did not. After a few hours of surfing I
ran the spybot first and followed with ad-aware. Now ad-aware found a few
things that spybot did not.
I know that I can continue doing the process with the two programs. Just wonder
if there is a jaws friendly program that only needs one pass.
Thanks

[JAWS-Users] Re: planned updates to the audio page

2007-05-03 Thread David A Ferrin

Unfortunately the program isn't as screen reader friendly as any of us would
like in some of those areas. What I like is the fact that once it's set the
way you want it the program can be run and automatically exit itself. That's
how I have it running on system boot up.

David,

My son has used CCleaner to clean out the registry on his computer.
According to him, he did not have any problems, but I am skeptical. I
guess that I would like to hear if anybody else used this feature?

Thanks,

Lenny, others have indicated that two programs are better than one.
Personally, I use no ad ware which you have to purchase but it is easy as

[JAWS-Users] Re: Thunderbird

2007-05-03 Thread David A Ferrin

The first audio is just about finished right now. It covers installing and
setting up your first email account. More audio files I'm hoping will come
along as time and or opportunity present themselves. There's just too much
to cover in a single file unless you want it to be an hour or more long,
personally I don't. Editing these things is a real bear let me tell you. It
takes an awful lot to make me sound like I know what I'm doing some times.
