[JAWS-Users] Re: Question about check disd
There should not be any problem unless you have a BIOS password, and I'm pretty sure you don't. If you did then JAWS wouldn't talk you through the process at all. I was reading the PC maintenance on the jaws users website, and I got to the check disd. When I follow all of the steps it says I must restart my computer for the check disc to run. It says that it will do the check disc before windows starts up. I have my computer password protected, so I have to put in my password before windows starts up. Will this interfear with running a check disc? Should I follow those directions, or should I do something different since my computer is password protected? I just wanted to clear this up first, so I don't screw anything up. I just want to say thank you to Denny for writing that PC maintenance page! The instructions are very easy to follow. Hi David, when I start up my computer jaws will say owner password edit. Once I type my password in windows will then start up. I don't know if that is a bios password, or not. What is a Bios password, and how do I know if I have one? Just curious.
