It's a neat way of categorising and grouping messages, instead of having them
in a rather disorganised set-up, if you want or need to refer back to something
said, later on. .

Would someone please explain how and why you would even do this in first
place?

  Excuse the dumb question.

I use the compleat email address actually for this list. it goes in the 2
field and that's how I make my rules.

One can indeed use 'where the too or CC line contains' as the condition for a
rule and be successful - that's what I usually do; and you don't need the
complete address for the rule to take effect. (Any part of the text of the
address will do, provided that - among addresses for which you have made rules
- it is unique to that address.)

  Hi,

No, if you use the complete address of the list, you'll find that your
messages go into your inbox anyway.

That's because you'll notice that the messages aren't coming from the list
address, they are coming from the people themselves. They are only being sent
through the list.

Your best bet is to use the subject field as the criteria for sorting the
messages.

You'll have to use the words jaws-users and mind the dash between the two
words.

  Victor

HI, in making a message rule, must you have the complete address of the list
so that the mail goes directly in to a folder for example jaws
[EMAIL PROTECTED], would go in to jaws users. even though there are
other jaws lists, this one has a distinct address that is different from the
  others.

I would appreciate any information that you may have.
