In past versions of Word, using Jaws, you could center a single line with
the keystroke, control+e. Is there a similar keystroke in Word 2007 using
jaws 10 and XP pro sp 3.

Your help will be appreciated.

Lou,

No, you do not want to uninstall the ILM. Just uninstall the
program. If you uninstall the ILM, it will affect them all
more than likely. Also, it will not increase the
availability of them to use in the future. The max you can
have is 3. Hope this helps

[JAWS-Users] Some questions and helpful hints on adobie, and acrobat reader.

2010-01-15 Thread Albert Cutolo

Good afternoon everyone:

I have some questions to list members that I would like to ask, that

download page for adobie latest version would be loacated, but I wasn't able
too find anything in there, or on that website on where to download it. I
even went to the jaws users programs page, but all I saw there was something
called pdf too text, and no reference too adobie's version or anything
related too acrobat reader.
If anyone has further suggestions on how I might locate and download this
software, please, could you please post them. I'm trying too download a pdf
file that's for my bose 28 series media center surround sound stereo system
which is as I understand it, is a pdf file. I'll probably need directions
from members onthis list, as to how too go about using adobie, as well as
the acrobat reader which is needed in order too readthis pdf file.

I had my last computer crash, I now have a different issue.
In my Say All, I have scan soft Samantha, reading, and she says the
punctuation, quote, and dashes, not sure if she says exclaim or not, but
so far, it is just dash, quote, and semicolon, I have it all set as I was
told to set it, even went into the punctuation settings, and set some of
them to all, and it is fine, when Read is being used, but when Samantha
is reading it is not the way I like it, thanks for any help Sue

Good afternoon everyone:

I have some questions to list members that I would like to ask, that

Last evening, I went to the adobie web site, where I thought that the
download page for adobie latest version would be loacated, but I wasn't able

even went to the jaws users programs page, but all I saw there was something

called pdf too text, and no reference too adobie's version or anything
related too acrobat reader.
If anyone has further suggestions on how I might locate and download this
software, please, could you please post them. I'm trying too download a pdf

file that's for my bose 28 series media center surround sound stereo system
which is as I understand it, is a pdf file. I'll probably need directions

the acrobat reader which is needed in order too readthis pdf file.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Problem with Avast!!!

2010-01-15 Thread Jo Luland

Hi All,
This morning when I turned on my computer, I had a message alerting me that
my Avast subscription had expired. Since I had decided some time ago that
when this happened, I'd like to try Ms Essentials. I downloaded it, but it
couldn't be installed until I removed Avast. So, I did what was needed to
remove Avast and, of course, I thought that was that. Not so!!! It no longer
showed up in my control panel, but was still alive in my system tray and to
make things worse, all day, the notice kept popping up and interfered with
everything I did. My question now is, how do I uninstall Avast? I've tried
everything I can think of with no success. I'm sure someone on this list
will come up with the answer I'm looking for. Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Jo

2010-01-15 Thread Steve Heflin
You need to click on the AVAST in the system tray and click on stop onboard
protection.

Then you can remove it completely.
If it isn't showing in the list of programs in the control panel go into the
C drive and click on program files and remove the AVAST folder. Then
restart your computer.

I use Windows Live Mail. Although it is accessible, I'm not really thrilled
with the experience. It is a processor hog, and folder navigation is a
pain. Otherwise, it works just like Outlook Express, with the added bonus
that you can view RSS content. That is really nice. I have not tried
using Thunderbird 3.0, as it keeps crashing my system. However, after a
reformat tomorrow, I might try that.
