Lou, No, you do not want to uninstall the ILM. Just uninstall the program. If you uninstall the ILM, it will affect them all more than likely. Re: [JAWS-Users] Problem with Avast!!!
Hi All, This morning when I turned on my computer, I had a message alerting me that my Avast subscription had expired. Since I had decided some time ago that when this happened, I'd like to try Ms Essentials. I downloaded it, but it couldn't be installed until I removed Avast. So, I did what was needed to remove Avast and, of course, I thought that was that. Not so!!! It no longer showed up in my control panel, but was still alive in my system tray and to make things worse, all day, the notice kept popping up and interfered with everything I did. My question now is, how do I uninstall Avast? I've tried everything I can think of with no success. I'm sure someone on this list will come up with the answer I'm looking for. Thanks in advance. Re: [JAWS-Users] Problem with Avast!!!
You need to click on the AVAST in the system tray and click on stop onboard protection. Then you can remove it completely. If it isn't showing in the list of programs in the control panel go into the C drive and click on program files and remove the AVAST folder. Then restart your computer. - Original Message - From: Jo Luland jolul...@verizon.net To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Friday, January 15, 2010 6:49 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Problem with Avast!!! Re: [JAWS-Users] e-mail client is used in window 7
I use Windows Live Mail. Although it is accessible, I'm not really thrilled with the experience. It is a processor hog, and folder navigation is a pain. Otherwise, it works just like Outlook Express, with the added bonus that you can view RSS content. That is really nice. I have not tried using Thunderbird 3.0, as it keeps crashing my system. However, after a reformat tomorrow, I might try that.
