[JAWS-Users] What is the equivalent to JAWS to hover a mouse over a word to get a list of options
Hi I am a admin for a website. There is this word Manage in the website. When you hover a mouse over it, a list of options like Edit, Delete will appear under the word Manage. When I route JAWS to PC, JAWS is unable to see the word. Do you know what is the equivalent for JAWS so I can get that list ? It only says Manage, no Link Manage, Mouse Over Manage, Graphic Manage, Manage Button all those. Another question. Whenever I do a Ctrl-Insert-Enter for a mouse over, JAWS say something like Element's attribute has changed. How do I know where is the change ? Is there a keystroke for that too ? Thank you in advance for any help. Best Regards Siew Ling For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
[JAWS-Users] Text analyzer and corrections
Breaking into the free-lance commercial writing field, I really enjoy the text analyzer feature in Jaws. However, does anyone know of a faster way to access the mistakes it's found? For instance if it finds a space run at the 65th character, it would be awesome if a key could be pressed to take you there instead of counting in from the left margin, or ctrl right arrowing guessing roughly where 65 might be and arrowing from there to find it. Thanks. Happy Thanksgiving to all US members if you're actually reading this today lol. If not, hope you had a great one. OK, so I found there is a Basic Trainging module on Text Analyzer, should have checked there first. The key combo Windows Alt I will move directly to the next flagged item. Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail
Hi Jerry, If you've in the contact folder, and want to select more than one contact, then you can just use the standard method for selecting items in a list which aren't necessarily next to each other: 1. select the first contact. 2. start holding down the control key. 3. move to another contact you want using the keys: down arrow, up arrow, home and end. 4. press spacebar to select the contact. 5. repeat 3 and 4 as desired. 6. stop holding down the ctrl key. This method is only going to be useful is you have a fairly small number of contacts, as moving around just using the arrow keys, plus home and end can be a bit slow. Alternatives are to use select recipients dialog, as someone has already suggested, or to make use of autocomplete or check names. The latter two are described in detail in the guide to windows mail which I mentioned in a previous post. Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail
Hi there; Yes you can have both installed on your computer. Here I have, outlook2010, windows live mail, And windows mail. I caution you though, If your going to go the windows mail route, first make sure you have all the updates, Including, the windows7 service pack 1. Some folks who made the registry change, for the windows mail program, could not download and install the service pack 1. And, there's no way to no, if this will happen in the future. Just be for warned. -Original Message- From: jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Trish Sent: Thursday, November 24, 2011 11:47 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Windows Mail and Windows Live Mail Trust me, I'm not doing any of that part..
