Your message made it to the list just fine,
and list traffic has been slow recently,
depending on how you are set to recieve messages, may account for this.

2013-04-02 Thread inthaneelf
hi,

a quickie question here even if a bit behind.

how loud are the rest of your system sounds?

the reason I ask is on windows 7 machines the system sounds and jaws and
your music players all have there own volume settings

if you don't have a shortcut to get there and check this just open the start
menu and type in
sndvol
into the search field and enter on it

control tab to system sounds and see what your set at

Thanks, I know how to change a sound, or rather I did in Windows 98, have
not tried lately due to time constraints and the fact that I must use Jaws 9
at work and am using 14 at home. Some days since I have been stressed by
family illness especially I can't seem to figure out how to use either , and
operating systems are XP at work and 7 at home also, not that I can do
anything at work, it is so locked down that probably changing a system sound
there would not even be a possibility.

I fall behind a lot but refuse to put list mail on my iPhone, much prefer
Outlook 2010 and a real keyboard to deal with that. The address I set up
for my phone is a well-kept secret, only about four people have it and most
of the messages it gets are one I send from work with info I may need such
as phone numbers that I don't have already in my contacts.

I only noticed my message sound to tell me to press alt S is quiet because I
was on Bard site getting some books.

Hi Rose,
you can change it to a different sound if you want.
1. Open the sound dialog from the control panel.
2. Move to the sounds page.
3. Tab to the tree view and select Notification bar.
4. tab to the sounds combo box. By default it's set to windows information
bar.wav. Change it to something else.

Hi Jim,
Try going to the e-mail but don't open it. Just arrow to it on your Inbox
folder.
Then Press Alt. Down arrow to save attachments sub menu. Right arrow to open the
sub menu, then down arrow to save all attachments.
I always had a tough time figuring out how to just open without saving, so this
always worked for me. Good luck.

2013-04-02 Thread Stephanie Koetje
If you're unable to press the down arrow when you hear untitled attachment, try
this: open the e-mail and press shift tab once. You should hear the word
attachments. Press enter. Then arrow right. Each time you arrow right you
should hear a new attachment. Press enter on each attachment to open them. I
hope this helps/works.
