First each time they fix JAWS it does make it better with office 2013. I am a newer user of a computer so I use it with email and word. Spell checker is better in email over word but you can use it in word. Have you used 2010 or 2007 if so it has some of the same things but there is more to 2013. If you are a person who likes to try new things I would say try it but with the latest JAWS that is the best. I hope I have helped if you have any questions ask and I will try to answer them. Hi LeDon, Between the main keyboard the numpad, at the top to the right of the the F12 key, you have 3 buttons. From left to right Print Screen, Scroll Lock, Pause. Below these 3 buttons is your 6 pack arrow keys. You can also turn keyboard help on with the keystroke, Insert / Jaws key + 1 on the number row, start pressing keys in the area explained above to have Jaws tell you what the keys are that you're pressing. Insert / Jaws key + 1, is a toggle so, this keystroke will also turn keyboard help off. HTH Take care. Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS 14 15 With MS Office 2013 365
Gary, I don't have specific experiencce with Office 365. I don't know if it is accurate to say Jaws 15 works best with Office 2013; I think the accurate thing to say is Jaws 15 is the version of Jaws that works best with Office 2013. I don't like the fact that I have to annually renew my subscription with Office 365. Personally, unless there are features that you need in 2013 that aren't available in Office 2007/2010, I wouldn't feel the urge to upgrade. Also, and others who have more experience may chime in, but at one time, there were issues with the Office 365 because Jaws had interpreted it as an Internet Explorer process because of the cloud aspect of the program. The regular Office 2013 edition did not have that component.
