Re: [JAWS-Users] JAWS does not read the file details in windows 7
Hi Javad, try customizing the details to include length rather than duration. David. original message: Hello I have a problem with JAWS in Windows 7. I don't really know if there is something wrong with JAWS or Windows. In Windows Explorer, when I switch to Details View, I expect to see the duration of MP3 files in front of them. I have already customized the details so the duration will be shown among the details, but JAWS does not read the duration of MP3 files in front of them. If I right-click the file and go to details tabl, JAWS reads the duration very well, but JAWS does not read the duration in details view. I don't know if Windows shows the duration or not, but I know JAWS does not read it at all. This was not the case in Win XP. In Windows XP, JAWS read the duration very well. Are you sure the correct link is highlighted? I have found with the last couple of versions of jaws often the link being read by jaws is not where the cursor is. [JAWS-Users] Post-Restore Blues
Hope you'll humor me on this one, as it has a tenuous JAWS connection. I mentioned earlier that I was finished with AVG, and about my phantom problem that came in the wake of my otherwise-successful system restore. Okay, does anybody know where I can get the installation file for 2014 AVG free. I want to reinstall it, then cleanly uninstall again. It's time to move on, and close this chapter. Happy to report that, since the rollback, JAWS is reactivated and working fine. It was quick, safe, and I'd do it again.
