Re: [JAWS-Users] Question on KNFB app for Windows
I'm not lost no more... Instead of going the long route, I just brought up the context menu, entered on open with and selected the app. I'm so proud! I can now read! The only beef I have is the inability to review what I just read, as lord knows I do not have the memory of an elephant... So if you have the KNFB app open on your pc and hold a Piece of paper about 12 to 15 inches away from the camera and push the field of view report it will tell you if you have all four corner showing. Even if you don't it still might scan ok. Then you have to push the take picture button then it will come of reading for you. Of course you have to make sure the printed side of the paper is towards the camera lens. You also have to have a camera. If you do not have a camera you can use a flatbed scanner. Then you just put the paper on the scanner and open up the KNFB app and tab until you hear scan image or do a ctrl + T to start the scan. When it is done scanning it will come up reading in a second or so. [JAWS-Users] Google Calendar Questions
Hello, again, everyone. I am trying to set up and use a Google calendar within my personal google account. I got some sighted assistance, and we have created a calendar with some sample dates and events. However, when I get down to the first time and date (e.g. Monday: March 13 at 12 p.m.), I can't read the information that is entered into that slot. I have turned the virtual cursor on and off with no luck. Does anyone have any thoughts on how I can read the calendar entries, and edit them as needed? I'm using Jaws 18 and Windows 7 here. [JAWS-Users] memo about the server
I understand that known host is going to do a server upgrade today. This might effect the web site and possibly this list for a short time. Do not be concerned as it is only going to be a brief interruption, and the fact is I do not know how long if there in fact even will be such a thing. They are the web provider for this domain. Re: [JAWS-Users] JFW demo version
I use the American English version and set speed in the JAWS dialog. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of David Ferrin Sent: Sunday, March 12, 2017 9:33 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] JFW demo version Interesting, I imagine it depends on how you set your personal options. For example control alt page up or down and if you include the windows key in there or not does make a difference. Either way the settings are save in your own ENU folder assuming you are using an English version of JAWS. I have no idea of the other languages available. Thank you for replying. -Original Message- From: Adrian Spratt Sent: Saturday, March 11, 2017 11:34 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] JFW demo version I don't doubt you, either. I can say only that the few times I was stuck using JAWS in demo mode, I had to adjust speed and other functions back to my comfort level each time it reloaded. Perhaps I was using the terms "personal settings," as in ENU settings, too loosely. Is that consistent with your experience? Otherwise, as Eric, you and others have said, JAWS is just about fully functional in demo mode. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of David Ferrin Sent: Saturday, March 11, 2017 7:22 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] JFW demo version Can you confirm this statement?
