Hi Tammy,

Please forgive me if this has been posted, but here are the steps for using
Openbook to read this particular type of PDF document:
1. Open the PDF document, & press, Control + P, to open the print dialogue.
2. Arrow down to, Freedom Import Printer, & press enter.
3. Wait for several seconds, Openbook will open, & scan the document, & now
you can read it.

Take care.

remind me how to read this? I tried using insert with the spacebar, letter
o, for ocr then letter d for document and got something really strange. I
forgot how to open it using the freedom import printer. Any help would be

However, I wasn't giving up, so I explored the page, there was a link that said

there was the check out button.
Confused nonetheless, but I will now make the purchase.

Kimsan,

I used to have this problem with several websites. Writing to the company often
led to true solutions. Meanwhile, you don't say which browser you're using. If
Internet Explorer, try Firefox, or vice-versa.
Another trick is to place focus on the button (maybe the second letter in to be
sure), then move the JAWS cursor to the PC cursor with JAWS key+numpad minus.
Here, you might check if the JAWS key is picking up the button by pressing JAWS
key+numpad up arrow (the read current line command). Then, whether or not it
does, press JAWS key+numpad enter.
But chances are that, in my experience, if the JAWS cursor doesn't pick up the
button, you're out of luck. IN that case, contact the company's Web designer or
Webmaster.

Hi Wayne, chrome does work with win7. It uses almost the same keystrokes as
firefox.
Even when you try to customize it, JAWS announce it as 'mozilla'.

Yes - you need to know how the menus work, and what the Chrome keyboard
commands are.

I've been using Chrome on the Windows 10 system at work for a while now,
having largely switched from Firefox. Chrome is working reliably. I also use
it under Mac OS, where it is likewise very accessible.
