Re: [JAWS-Users] J18 Build Update, JAWS 18.0.5038, Download Links + What's New
Hi Wayne, This is a Jaws 18 update. If it were a Jaws 2018 update I would have stated that. The only way to find out if Jaws 2018 doesn't work for you is to install it and develop your own opinion. Different people have various complaints , but their problems may be totally unrelated to how you might use the Jaws 2018 version. Personally speaking, I don't have any problems on my Windows 7 or 10 computers with Jaws 2018. Take care. Mike. Go Dodgers! Sennt from my iBarstool. Re: [JAWS-Users] J18 Build Update, JAWS 18.0.5038, Download Links + What's New
Why not use both, since you have both? You can decide what works better. Maybe you'll find you use JAWS 2018 for most things but switch to 18 for certain applications. I have JAWS 18. This was created before JAWS 2018, but I guess is still receiving (somewhat less frequent) updates. I don't know, but I suspect that this will be the last one, to conincide with the Windows 10 1803 build. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of wayne smith Sent: May 4, 2018 6:05 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] J18 Build Update, JAWS 18.0.5038, Download Links + What's New Mike, thanks but I am in a fog. Re: [JAWS-Users] jaws and firefox quantum
I know this add-on is not supposed to work with Quantum at all, but I was having this issue with links not activating when I had the Webvism add-on installed. Once I removed this add-on, I no longer had this issue. Maybe it's not that particualr add-on at fault, but you might still want to try disabling add-ons in Firefox and see if this makes a difference. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Don Raikes Sent: May 4, 2018 1:12 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] jaws and firefox quantum I installed firefox 60 on windows 7 64-bit and it works fairly well with JAWS 2018. Hi Fernando. Very curious. Thanks. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Fernando Gregoire Sent: April 26, 2018 4:49 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] The JAWS cursor in Windows 10, and certain programs Hi, As I said in my prior message, there's no more information than the bullet in the enhancement list for JAWS 2018 April update and the description of the option in Settings Center. Even in the English help (Spanish one sometimes adds certain information with a small delay), there is no mention at all about this new Accessibility Monitor API, and as far as I know there's also no more related content on the FSDN, technical support bulletings, Freedom Scientific blog nor the Enhancements in Scripting page.
