2018-06-07 Thread Wershing, Alice D.
I am new to creating accessible email, and have been asked about creating
accessible emails using MailChimp or other similar services. Any advice or

Hi KK,
Try this with the troublesome file:
While the file in question is selected in the list where it is being
stored,

Press the F2 key to rename it.
You are not actually going to rename the file, just change the file
extension.

Try changeing it from .wma, to .mp3, and see what happens.
If this file was acquired from the internet, there is a chance that it has
been tinkered with.

Yes I quite agree about goldwave. it's very good, however, I have a file
which for the life of me will not convert from wma to mp3, and yet I have
had no trouble with others. Is there any reason for that? thanks.kk.

Goldwave is a good one, go to www.goldwave.com for more information.
To download JAWS scripts, go to www.blindgeekzone.net
Goldwave is not free, you have to buy it. The scripts are free though.
To convert files, do not open a new file, stay in the main window and on
the file menu click batch processing. The goldwave scripts are found on
the programmes page of the blind geek zone website. The goldwave audio
tutorials are found on the audio page of the blind geek zone website.
The tutorials are done by Rick Harmon and he is the owner of the blind
geek zone website.

Hope this helps!

Hi guys,
I have a bunch of music files that I want to convert to MP3 files.
Most of them are songs that I have ripped from CD's. I can change them
by using total recorder, but I would have to convert one file at a
time.
Can anyone tell me of a program that can do a whole folder at a time,
and also something that works well with jaws.

Thanks.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] JAWS 10 beta expired?

A strange thing happened this morning that I'm wondering if particular to
my

computer or if this applies to others as well. I turned my computer on as
normal and when done booting up I heard Jaws 10 beta version expired,
contact freedom scientific. Following this and on subsequent boots
nothing

but silence, not even a 40 minute demo mode. This beta version has been
working fine as I've been giving them feedback. I did not upgrade to the
latest beta version a couple of weeks or so ago but have the one just
before

it. I know these beta versions expire once they release the final JAWS
version and folks receive their CD's in the mail. Have they released the
CD
yet as I've not received or heard that they have. Fortunately I still
have

JAWS 9 on my machine so no big deal. However, I'm not looking forward to
going to work Monday morning and having the same thing happen down there.
Anyone else had this?

Al

[JAWS-Users] message rule problem in Windows mail (Outlook express in Windows xp)

2008-10-31 Thread Alice
I have subscribed to 3 mailing lists, this one, and 2 others. I have created
message rules for all of them. The rule is that any e-mails to that mailing
list go to the folder I have set up for that mailing list. All 3 rules are
enabled but one of them does not work. The e-mails from that mailing list just
go straight to my inbox.

[JAWS-Users] replaying voice clips in MSN messenger

2008-03-13 Thread Alice Pennington
If you are a regular user of MSN messenger and you like using voice clips, here
is an important message for you all.
Whenever you want to replay a voice clip there is no keyboard shortcut which
lets you do it. Well, I've found a way using the keyboard.

1. Press ctrl+shift+h to move to the history window.
2. Navigate to the voice clip you want.
3. Navigate to the L in play/stop.
4. Route your JAWS cursor to the PC cursor using JAWSKey+NumPadMinus.
5. Simulate the LeftMouseButton by using NumPadSlash.

Notes

1. To stop a voice clip do the same as above but navigate to the T in play/stop.
2. To save a voice clip do the same as above but navigate to the first S in the
word SaveAs.

Hope this helps!
