 Hi Tim,

A while back someone (I think it was Rex) posted these instructions for
using jaws with Netflix. They're pretty good and should get you going so you
 can start watching.

 ***

Hey all, I wrote this little tutorial to help Jaws users effectively
 navigate NetFlix.

Hope this is helpful to some.

You can access Netflix, start and stop play, move forward and back and use
the video play controls but it does take a little enginuity.

Let's say we want to watch House MD.

We log into netflix, click on our profile name and then click on the
 search link.

Type in House MD and press enter.
Now you arrow down until you find something that says graphic House MD.
Right below that is a link that says Y Player. If you click that link, the
playback will start where you last left off. If this is the first time you
have clicked on a movie or series, it will start with the first episode or
at the beginning of the movie.

We'll get to the playback options in a minute. Let's assume that you want
to access the list of episodes for a particular series.

Using our House MD example, arrow back up to the area that says graphic
House MD. It may say something a little different on your computer but the
idea is that you find the graphic for the show you're trying to access.

Now, press home to make sure you're on the graphic.
route Jaws to PC with insert+[, access the Jaws cursor with insert+p and
 then use insert+8 to leftclick.

This should cause a link to the show to appear further down the page.
Arrow down through the information and go past service code and copyright
info. You should reach a link to the show. Click that link.

Now you can move around and look at the episodes in the season you've
reached. If this is your first time accessing the show, you'll be on season
 1. To change seasons arrow down past recommend to a friend
and you will hear season 1. Press enter on the number of the season.
This will cause a list of seasons to come up. Press enter on the season you
 want.
Now just find the show you want to listen to and arrow down one time to the
 play link and press enter.

Now, press insert+z to turn virtual PC cursor off. Press the tab key and
you should hear something like scrubber ...

press shift+tab to go back and you'll be in the play options area.
Press the upp arrow to increase the volume, down arrow to decrease, spacebar
to stop and start and left and right arrows to move through the show. If you
move forward or backward, you may need to press the spacebar to start play
because it will stop when you arrow through the show.

There are some other things you can do in this area. Just explore by
tabbing through the page. Remember that your virtual cursor is turned off.
When you're ready to leave that page, be sure and turn it back on.

This may require a little trial and error on your part but you can quickly
 master the netflix system.

On 5/15/15, Tim Ford ttf...@gmail.com wrote:
 Hello All,

My daughter just set me up with my own profile on Netflix. I was able
to pick my profile, although JAWS did not say it was a link, just a
graphic, but a left mouse click command on the keyboard did open my
 profile.

I then see all the shows and movies she pre-selected for me,
including a brand new Netflix series that prompted my asking to be set
up. Below each show title is a link to Y Player, and when I select
that, I get a screen where only the Netflix title appears, no links or
 anything.

Does someone have a basic guide for using JAWS with Netflix, or is
 Netflix even accessible?

Hey all it would appear the store issue is just not with iTunes 10.4 at this

I went back and re installed 10.2 and the store is completely inaccessible.
Even with the blind tunes scrips.
It is like jaws is unable to see anything at all in the store window.

I did not exactly have that problem what I did have was that I could not get

jaws to see the buy or the pla button when sampling a song this under the
heading of songs.
I went back in there and press the space bar on the buttons that I described

above for more than a second and it did work but I also used another screen

reader and had no problem.
I did email freedom about and reminded that in there previous podcasts that
they were bragging just how good jaws worked with ITunes.

So this will stay on topic of Jaws In most cases and with the help of
 script
writing the simple answer is yes. Where some people, run into trouble is
getting the brain to multi task effectively. Unless you want a person
knowing you are blind. One wears a head set with Jaws in one, ear,
 customer
chatting away in the right ear, and you answering the questions or getting
information, while, typing on the keyboard. I have worked and still work
 at
AAA, Call Center where 2 other blind and 2 visually impaired work too.
 I've
been there 10.5 years. As noted if the company is willing to work with
 you,
some script writing you will be fine. Especially with the latest jaws. If
you are working with a Braille display in combo you are pretty much
 Golden.
Just my point of view, Geno

Hi Corey;

Below is the download information that was posted by Gerald Levy.

Don't bother with the MS web site, Instead, visit the web site below and
arrow down to the three links in the body of the article to download MSE.
Select
the link appropriate for your OS, and your download will start
immediately.

As long as you have a genuine copy of Windows, the set-up and installation
should be a breeze. There is no captcha, registration or special
configuration settings to deal with.

Hi everyone,

I am running Windows 7, Home Premium on a Toshiba laptop, single user.

Since I was a single user, when we first set up my laptop,we only included
my user name. There was no need for a password.

When I wake up my laptop from sleep or hibernation, Jaws announces my user
name on a log-in screen. I just press enter and I move to the desktop.

With my past Toshiba, which had Vista, I was able to turn off the log-in
screen so that it immediately woke up to the desktop.

This is not actually a problem to me, but I am just curious, does anyone
know if the log-in screen can be turned off with the same results for
Windows 7?

Thanks much,

Russ

Hello all,
My wife is trying to use netflics to watch movies on line, and we keep
getting a drm error message anytime wwe try to view a movie.
We have already ran the drm reset utility many many times, with and with out

netflics on line?
Because all we are getting at this time is the same error message.

That's odd! I have had the exact opposite problem! In the last 24
hours, JAWS 10 beta 2 stopped reading the subject line altogether when
 reading a
message in Windows Mail on Vista. I do not know any way to have it say
 this
again other than go back to version 9. I have reported this to FS.

I'm using JAWS10 with the new update.
In Outlook Express, messages now start reading automatically upon opening
them, but the subject line repeats twice, tending to get on one's nerves
 after a while.
However, this is an improvement, as messages didn't start reading at all
 previously.

I must say I am not exactly sure what you are asking so I will base my
answer on what I think you mean. If this is a swing and a miss as they say
in baseball I apologize in advance.

If you are speaking about that long directory you can hit delete to remove
 a
subscription entry. If you are talking about a folder containing podcast
that you have subscribed to you probably should check my documents
 folder
and look for my recent podcast folder to locate the folders containing
 the
various podcasts downloads. You can delete the entire folder of a podcast
 or
open a specific folder and delete individual podcasts.

Is there a way to get the huge list of podcasts out of the actual
subscription tab area, not the library where the folders are kept or the
ones listed in the downloads tab, but the ones that are listed under each
subscription that have either been removed or skipped? Thanks.

 it
will say windows classic folders and then tab until you apply and enter on
it. this will put it to look like xp. hopes this helps. if any more
