Re: [JAWS-Users] Google search button is gone!
If you are getting the page asking you to set up your own home page when google opens, you can select classic and things will go back to the version you were used to getting. Deborah - Original Message - From: Shari shariw...@sbcglobal.net To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Monday, October 19, 2009 8:30 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] Google search button is gone! Hi All, I don't know if this is Jaws related or not, but I'm baffled. For years, I've had Google as my home page at home and at work. At home, there is no longer a google search or an i feel lucky button. The only search option is advanced search which I hardly ever need. At work those buttons are still there as usual. On my home computer, if I press letter b, Jaws says there are no buttons on the page. Both computers are running the latest version of Jaws 10. Home computer has Vista; work has XP. Any thoughts? Re: [JAWS-Users] compatible recipe for jaws?
If you are looking for a screen reader friendly site with recipes try www.fooddownunder.com You can search by cuisine, category, or ingredient. There are flags from different countries at the top of the page, but the graphics are labeled. Warning! After you find a recipe you want to use, you can get hooked on poking around the site to see what else is there. I never got a recipe with a number under 20,000. Curiosity got the better of me so I checked to see what the first and last recipes were; 007 cocktail and zydeco beans. Re: [JAWS-Users] Insert-A not allowing me to move to attachment
Just thought I would send the information about opening attachments in outlook express, because quite frequently people say outlook when they mean outlook express. Re: [JAWS-Users] clicking sound on a link?
I tried the URL you posted and didn't hear any clicking sounds or have any trouble navigating the web site. Sometimes I hear a click when a pop up is blocked, but I didn't even hear that on this site. Thanks for aiming me at another site with great recipes. Re: [JAWS-Users] Using numberpad for number input
On the rare occasion I use a calculator, I use the num pad rather than the top row of numbers because I can enter the numbers more quickly using it. The only talking calculator I ever owned had the same key configuration as the num pad. I still prefer using my noggin, but every now and then I get a case of the galloping lazies and break down and use the calculator.
