[JAWS-Users] OpenOffice 3.0 with JRE 6.0 and Access Bridge 2.0

2008-10-01 Thread Demetry Yousifidou
Hi list,

I just installed the latest OpenOffice 3.0 Release Candidate 3 with Sun
Java Runtime Enviroment 6.0 Update 7 and the Java Access Bridge 2.0.1.
I already activated the checkbox in the OpenOffice's Options menu the
Accessibility.
I can not really read the my braille display the text or menu items, and
JAWS is abnormal to speak the items.
How can I fix it? When I try to find out the colors JAWS says Black on
Black every times...

Thanks.

As it happens, ITunes8 is also quite accessible to JAWS9 (without the need
for extra pay-for scripts such as JTunes). It also works quite well as is
 in JAWS10 beta.

2008-08-02 Thread Demetry
Hi Eric and listers,

I heard it that the end of this month FS will publish the first public
beta of JAWS 10?
What will the 10th version have versus the 9th?
And why does FS every time the versions bring out the first 8, 9 then 10
and not 9.5 or so? Every time the next version is out it costs always an
SMA...

Sorry, I mistook the the 64 Bit systems with the Windows versions.
Yes, That's true. Under 64 Bit processors you can work fine with Windows
32 Bit and JAWS 9. But, it will not work under Windows 64 Bit Operating
Systems.
I my computer I have 64 Bit Dual Core Processor when I don't need the
screen reading software would be surely changed.

when reading back. I often had to use the JAWS cursor to read things It
also would not let me cut paste. The biggest issue is when I go to
register through the ILM process it will not let me. I'm wondering if JAWS
will not allow this due to the 64 bit processor?

[JAWS-Users] I can't see the address bar

2008-02-06 Thread Demetry
Hi friends,

Does anyone has any idea why the address bar in the Windows Explorer
under Windows XP Home Edition will not displayed with JAWS 9?
I can read the named field by edit field before. This option is already
checked also in the View menu. JAWS says nothing to me or is blank if I
am in this edit field with the PC cursor. With my Braille Display it
will not be displayed too.

That's because it was meant for FS beta testers in house only and Eric
 made
a boo boo and released the info to the list. They have since removed the
info and thus you can't access it.

 Hello Friends,

before some days ago, I read the mail here from Eric Damery, where I can
 get
the Private Updates for Jaws 9.0. I typed the Special Update Code in the
Special Update Code window, and than I clicked in the context menu of
 Jaws
 Help - Check for Updates...
In this window it will be displayed the new available Updates.
But after clicking on the checkbox and than go to the install button I
 get
 the following error message:

The following updates could not be downloaded:
   - JAWS 9.0.379 Update

Hmmm... Why that? It will don't displayed also the size of the update
 file.
And, Why will be displayed in the update window the available updates are
 not automatically checked?

I am using Jaws 9.0.369 under Windows Vista Home Premium with all
 updates.

 Thanks.

[JAWS-Users] Jaws 9 question: Custom Setup and List View from the drives list in the My Computer

2007-10-02 Thread Demetry
Hi Eric and Listers,

Thanks for the new interesting public beta version of Jaws 9. Now, I use it
under Windows Vista Home Premium successfully. But, during tthe
installation on clicking 'Custom' my Computer sounds some noises without
that I can see the state of setup process on my computer. Jaws 9 don't give
me more information although the setup is runnin or so. Just the speech was
silent. Only on my braille display the cursor was blinking under the letter
C. I waited a few minutes, so a quarter of hour, but my pc seemed that had
hanging up. Hmmm... Why that?

Oh, and the List View in the My Computer where I get all my drives viewed,
Jaws gives me always a Pling sound. It seems the cursor lost the focus in
this window?
