Did you uncheck Auto-detect languages in the Default Settings Center -
ctrl shift d, after you've opened the application's Settings Center
with JAWSKey6? Then Ok changes when closing this.

In this case, it might be a bug in JAWS.
If you have Spanish set as the current voice profile's primary language, when
switching to English with CTRL+WINDOWS+L menus and virtual buffer information
continue to be read in Spanish, but book or page content itself should be read
in English if you have language detection disabled. As a workaround in case of
a bug on this, try creating a specific voice profile with an English variant
set as the primary language, and switch to it when needed by pressing
CTRL+JAWS+S.

Hope it helps!

Re: [JAWS-Users] Stopping jaws from saying command keys.

2016-10-20 Thread Lev

thanks to all of you who replied.

and Mike, never mind, after all you were right,

but since jaws doesn't allow to mute this keys then I was told to mute
the option labeled as "modified printables" and it worked just fine, so
jaws is not saying control or windows every time I press down this
command keys in combination with other alphabetic keys like, for
example, to minimize the active folder when I'm in the explorer.

Enter key is another story, jaws allows you to mute this key with no
need to do anything aboe discribed.

it turns out well for me.

thanks in any case.

but it turns out I already had tryed this setting with no result. When
I try to mute this specific keys, for example, control key, windows key,

Obviously, this makes for an anoying reading experience.

I have received news letters from this organization before, and have not had

Is there something I can do to turn this "clickable" announcement off, or
could it be something in the way the news letter was sent and formatted?

I'm using Jaws 17, Windows 7, and Firefox as my main internet browser.

Thanks for any advice!
