[JAWS-Users] reading emails in Outlook 2016

2017-10-25 Thread Rebecca Ilniski
Hi all. How do I read an email in Outlook from beginning to end in Outlook
2016? I use insert down arrow and it will only read part of the message.
I'm using latest version of Jaws 2018 and the latest win 10 edition. I have
also tried using control d to delete a message. The next message opens and
it starts to read the message but in the middle it says message has 27 links
and starts reading over again. Any way to get this fixed or anything I
should change? Thanks.

We have been hit in the past by email providers bouncing messages from this
domain, but today ranks as the worst in our history. We lost 162 members today
just under 25% of our total subscribers. Almost all of them were using GMail
with a couple of other ISPs thrown in for good measure.

We have never had a problem with GMail before but they sure made up for it this
morning.

If anybody has contact with one of the people who have been removed ask them to
contact GMail if they can and ask this domain be placed on their white list or
whatever they happen to call it.

A few more days like this and there won’t be much of a point in going on.

I remember as a little boy my dad saying you can’t fight city hall. In this
case you can’t fight being black listed.

Hi Rebecca,

Have a look at the notes below:
Below are steps, & an example, but these keystrokes don't work reliably,
flaky at best.

Use the key strokes, (CTRL+INSERT+NUM PAD SLASH) for Drag and Drop .
This is used to drag items from one location and drop them in another.
Position the JAWS Cursor on the item you wish to move and press
CTRL+INSERT+NUM
PAD SLASH. You can leave the JAWS Cursor active, or you can switch to the PC
Cursor. JAWS will keep speaking as you navigate. Once you have positioned
the JAWS or PC Cursor in the location to which you would like to move the
item, press CTRL+INSERT+NUM PAD SLASH again, and the item will be moved to
the position of the active cursor.

Example:
I have 9 items on my taskbar. The last item is my shutdown shortcut,
so all I have to do is press windows key 9 to shutdown quickly. If
I'd like to place it at number 1, I simply focus on that item then
press, CTRL, Insert, + Numpad slash, and jaws will say: To drag and drop
place the
jaws or pc curser in the dropped location and press, CTRL, Insert, + Numpad
slash.
After jaws says that, I tapped my left or right arrow key until I got
to internet explorer which for me I know is the first item on the
taskbar, then I pressed the above keystroke again and it worked for
me.
Now what was item 9 is now item 1. When I dragged and dropped my 9th
item over to the first item, the first item became the second item on
the taskbar.

Hi,
you can drag them to another location using the Jaws cursor:
1. Move to the program's button that you want to move.
2. Press Insert + Numpad Minus to route the Jaws Cursor to the PC cursor,
and then press Insert + Numpad Slash to lock the left mouse button, in other
words, start holding it down.
3. Press Numpad Plus to switch back to using the PC cursor, and then press
either Left Arrow or Right Arrow the number of times which is the number of
positions which you want to move the program either to the left or right
respectively. This moves the PC cursor to the position where you want the
program to end up.
4. Press Insert + Numpad Minus to route the Jaws cursor to the PC cursor,
and press Insert + Numpad Slash to unlock the left mouse button, in other
words, stop holding it down.
5. Finally, press Numpad Plus to switch back to the PC cursor.
David.
Take care.

Also when I open an email it say the subject and name again which is
fine but it says inbox for rilni...@gmail.com and x estern is there any
way to turn that off? Otherwise everything is reading perfectly.

graphic 4565435643234566 that's just an example I'd like to know where
to turn that berbosity setting off. Thanks. I use jaws at work too so

[JAWS-Users] loving jaws and a few questions

2016-12-06 Thread Rebecca Ilniski
Hi everyone. I just got my copy of Jaws yesterday and got it installed
perfectly thanks to you who responded to me on list. Here are a few
questions that come to mind.

1. What is smart navigation?
2. Is there a way to turn on typing with words but not hear the other
keys such as space or control or space while I'm typing?
3. What's the easiest way to look up a keystroke or a command so that I
can not have to clutter the list with a lot of questions and can do some
research on my own?
4. When you type a web address or email, is there a way to turn off
verbosity when it comes to trying to pronounce the web address or email
address and will just autocomplete when you type it instead of trying to
pronounce it? This way when I type a web address or email address it
doesn't say each character and try to pronounce it as I'm typing if that
makes sense.
And my last question when you browse the internet is there a way to turn
off verbosity where I don't hear things such as table with 2 columns and
4 rows and things like list start or list end?

Hi,

I'm not sure if it's by luck, or outlook 2016, or the jaws version I'm using
which is 17. Heck, I just don't know. In any event, those using outlook
2016, since that's the version I'm using, could someone (and you can use my
email here to test it if you'd like) evoke the keystroke insert shift r to
see if the reply directly to sender works for them?
I don't think this mailing list replies directly to the member when replying
like other lists but I do remember the above keystroke not working in the
past, and again, I'm not sure if it's jaws 17, or outlook 2016. If it is
outlook 2016, awesome as smile that keystroke never worked for me in
previous versions which got me in trouble quite a bit.
I bring this up as I was talking to a buddy about this and how I can reply
directly to a sender without opening up notepad, coppying, pasting etc. I
just went to five different emails on different mailing lists and insert
shift r indeed replied directly to sender, which rocks.

Respectfully,

Kimsan Song
