[JAWS-Users] JAWS Not Saying Attachment in WLM

2012-06-20 Thread cjacobse
A further problem for me on my netbook is that when moving the jaws curser
to pc curser, I can not navagate to hear any message line or subject line. I
can only hear what is probably a menu =

new delete
caps l= only blank blank
And I just tried navagating thru this message = blank, blank
So very wierd. I do not get this blank blank when using jaws curser on the
internet or in word doc. not sure why this is happening.

This is sometimes so very blank blank frustrating! ha ha

Hello there;

You will need to label the graphic.

First, open windows live mail.

Now send yourself an attachment,
Making sure, you'll be able to recognize the subjectline.

Next,
Press insert+v=adjust jaws setting,
Or in jaws 13=quick settings.
Now press the letter g until you hear graphics,
You need to set the graphics to all,
You do this by pressing the spacebar, then press enter.

After you receive your message move to the message do not press enter.

You now need to:
route the jaws cursor to the pc cursor.
Insert+minus,
If your using a laptop,
Capslock-key+left bracket.

Navigate to the left of the line and listen to the graphic numbers.
The trick is, to be on the right numbered graphic,
You may want to Arrow up to the prior message and listen to the graphic
numbers there then go back down to the original line.
They should be different graphic numbers.
If your certain you're on the right graphic for attachment,
Press insert+g=activating label graphics,
Now type in attachments,
Press enter.
Note once you finish this exercise,
You would want to go back into the insert+v settings,
g=graphics,
Turn all graphics, to labeled, using the spacebar,
Now press enter.
Now when you arrow through the messages, jaws should indicate/announce
attachments.

Hope this helps.

perhaps shift F11 to add a sheet
alt e is the edit menu but can't arrow thru it to delete like in the older

Using the application key opens selections for insert delete as well. But
the insert sheet is not there.

insert F1 gives shortcut keys when in excel

Hi, I am using excel 2010 and jaws 13 on xp.
I am trying to add a new sheet to my work book but can't find the option
to do so. I am using the virtual ribbon turned on but don't find
anything.
Also I am trying to remove a row from my work sheet but once I highlight
the row go to the ribbon I can not find a way to delete the row. I
assumed I should find all in the ribbon but no joy.

Any hints? I looked in the help but still didn't come up with anything.

A more specific answer to your question is that it just isn't that simple.
If you are looking at a book that you want to buy, you can now access the
sample if you have Jaws 12 or higher than that, just by pressing enter on
play. If you want a summary of the book, you need to go to the link that is
where the book title is and then I use the Jaws find command to find
summary, and you'll get to the publisher's summary. If you then return to
the original title and arrow down, you can purchase the book. Once you've
purchased the book, it appears in My Library. You go there to find it. It
may be in several parts. For each part, you tab until you get to the
download link and press enter.

If this sounds confusing, I can certainly understand. You can contact me off
list, or join the blind audible list which has members more skilled than I,
and Dan Rossi, who is on this Jaws list, is also on the blind audible list
and knows this stuff inside out.

[JAWS-Users] windows live email, 2 issues

2012-05-02 Thread cjacobse

Hi,
While travelling I added gmail as an account on windows live mail. It is not
sending receiving; I likely clicked some incorrect setting. So I'd like to
delete it from window live email start over. How or where is the delete

Secondly, Whindows live email is periodically shutting down. There are some
possible causes posted - none make much sense. Possible it is related to the
gmail problem.

Any words of wisdom appreciated.

[JAWS-Users] windows live mail connection terminated message

2012-05-02 Thread cjacobse
this message is read out when using alt tab. to listen word by word I must use
the jaws curser.
message:
Windows live mail
your server has unexpectedly terminated the connection. Possible causes for
this may include server problems, network problems or a long period of
inactivity.
OK
read only edit
If I press escape this message may go away for a while without shutting down
WLM, but of course return have its way.
second part of message can be read using pc curser easily copied:
Your IMAP command could not be sent to the server, due to non-network errors.
This could, for example, indicate a lack of memory on your system.

Configuration:
   Account: Telus (cjacobse) (1)
   Server: imap.telus.net
   User name: cjaco...@telus.net
   Protocol: IMAP
   Port: 143
   Secure(SSL): 0
   Code: 800ccc0f

So what might be non network errors?. I have access to internet with this
computer other devices.
Memory should not be a problem, netbook is less than a year old.
I just removed gmail from account, thank you David. that was really easy. I
would try to add it back on account, but think I should fix this first?
Again any all help appreciated.

Hi Ann,

Thanks, but I do that already when I do say word )insert+numpad5). I
want Jaws to speak the contents of cell A when I left arrow column A
as it does in Jaws12. This feature does not work in Jaws13 and I have
to do insert+numpad5 to hear the content. Just another unnecessary key
stroke.

Take care.

In Jaws12, when I am in column A and I press the left arrow key, Jaws
simply reads the contents of that cell.

However, with Jaws13, I press the left arrow in column A and Jaws does not
speak the contents of that cell. I will have to do say word or move out of
that cell and move back into it to hear the contents of that cell.

Is there any fix for this problem? Does the problem lies in Jaws scripts?
Is anyone else having this problem?

I know that I can do say word, but when navigating with the arrow keys, I
do not want to move to say word to hear the contents.

As I previously stated above, this problem does not occur in Jaws12.

Many thanks for any help. Take care.
