Ribbons didn't get introduced in Outlook until 2010 if I recall. My Office
2007 also has ribbons for Word and Excel, but not for Outlook either.

Rick,
My version of Outlook 2007 has the traditional menus. If others don't
I'd

be interested in knowing that for I do have that persistent problem where
Jaws 14 does not read html emails correctly.
Thanks,

Try this. With Outlook 2007 open:
1. Hit alt plus t to open the tools menu 2. On the tools menu go to
options

and hit enter.
3. Tab to email options and hit enter or spacebar 4. Tab to advanced email
options and hit spacebar to open 5. Then tab to the option that says when
sending an email message suggest names when completing to, cc and bcc
fields.
6. Make sure it is checked if it is not
7. Then tab to OK and hit spacebar
That should do it.

Good luck.

Hello,
The reason outlook is not reading with jaws is because you have been
infected with malware and it has cause damage.

Maybe run the office 2007 Enterprise disc and do a repair or you just have
to live with your outlook problem.

I wonder if turning on the virtual ribbons would work using his steps.
I turned on virtual ribbons here in 2013 and nothing as I do not have 07,
nor do I have access to 07.
Or, would the version make a difference lol.

Do you have the check box check for use auto complete list to suggest names
when typing in the to, cc, and bcc lines which can be found in the
backstage/mail options?

How do I get it to do that? I'm running outlook 2007, windows 7 home
premium, and jaws 15, beta 3 on a 64 bit machine. Jim

Re: [JAWS-Users] outlook2007 isnot automatically filling in the name as I send amessage toa contact.

2013-10-16 Thread Jorge Rivas
Hello,
It might not be reading the contact names, but I bet you your contacts are
there.
For example, press letter J and press enter.
It's going to read the first person.
For now until your problem is fixed; after you press the letter J, press
control + k and down arrow and all the recipions under the J list will read.

Press enter to select the person and continue on.

OH, doing this this way the ; to select more people won't work.

Or press alt + period or control + shift +B to go to the main outlook
address book and select.

How, I know this? I got the same problem...

HTH,
Jorge

I wonder if turning on the virtual ribbons would work using his steps.
I turned on virtual ribbons here in 2013 and nothing as I do not have 07,
nor do I have access to 07.
Or, would the version make a difference lol.

Hi Greg,
Doesn't this version of Outlook have ribbons, not menus?

Try this. With Outlook 2007 open:
1. Hit alt plus t to open the tools menu 2. On the tools menu go to options
and hit enter.

Good luck.
Greg Washington
