Re: [JAWS-Users] Accomplish Cash Manager and JFW

2011-10-21 Thread Rhonda Scott
Have been emailing with the manufacturer. They are usually about 24 hours
behind, as they are in New Zeeland. If you purchase the software for, I
think it's around $500, you get tech support with it. The distributor of it
here in the US mainly sells the software, but doesn't know a whole lot about
it to answer questions. It was my impression as well that it is fairly
accessible, but I don't want to purchase unless we're positive of that. Was
hoping to find an experienced user.

Hi John,

Thank you for pointing it out about the reports not being
accessible. My husband and I own a small business and have
been searching for a few years for software compatible with
Jaws that will allow us to keep inventory, keep track of
income and expenses, invoicing, etc. It is possible to do
some of that in Excel, but that became tricky when business
picked up and we were constantly making sales with no one to
input those into Excell and subtract from inventory.

My husband is hopeful I will be able to use Cash Manager
independently, but from what I've seen running it with Jaws,
there are some areas I can't simply tab through when
entering a new invoice, as the pod cast I listened to
indicated could be done.

Please keep me up to date off list about your progress in
finding something.
I found someone who can help me learn to use the limited
accessible features in QuickBooks with Jaws, but I really
need something fully accessible for our business.

Hi Rhonda,
I am also trying out this program. I must say that for the
price, I am not
impressed. One of the biggest drawbacks that I have found
is that the
reports are not accessible.

I currently produce my invoices using Word and track income
and expenses
using Excel. Before I lost my eye sight, I used QuickBooks,
which did a
great job. I am going to try and find an older version of
QuickBooks and
determine if I can effectively use it with Jaws.

Good luck with your evaluation.

I'm trying out the Cash Manager software out of New

to a podcast about how well it works for blind users using

noticing that I'm not able to access all the fields as
easily as said, and
would like to find some folks who have used the program to

So has anyone here had experience with Accomplish Cash

Have you looked into using Quickbooks online through a browser? I have
not used it, but their advertisements sound like you can use it in a
limited way for free. If memory serves, it allows several invoices per
month for free. It should certainly let you determine if it fits your
needs and is accessible.
