If you have Firefox, which you should because it's a way better browser then
IE, not only performance wise but it interacts way better with JAWS in my
opinion,
There is a plugin.
I don't remember what its called exactly, WebVision or something like that.
Anyway, you install that and it'll solve any captcha for you with a keyboard
stroke.

Petitions have been known to work.  They do draw attention to an issue and 
effectively communicate the point that it is an issue of interest to many
