Here is the actual Windows command to clear the clipboard manually. This
command can be executed in Run dialog field, command prompt, or create a
shortcut
on desktop with same command so that can be used whenever you wanted to
clear clipboard manually on
Windows 10.

Right click on the empty space on desktop, then select new Shortcut.
Using jaws,
Desktop,
Ctrl+spacebar to unselect icons,
Now, use applications key, choose new sub menu, and again choose new
shortcut,

shortcut in Windows 10

Type below command on the location of the items of shortcut as below.

cmd /c "echo off | clip"

On the next screen give a name for shortcut, let's say Clipboard Clear and
save it.
So after typing the command you go to next
shortcut name
so you give the shortcut a name, such as, clipboard clear, or,
ClearClipboard
now tab finish, enter,

you will see the name,
Now you will see the shortcut icon on desktop to clear clipboard. This can
be double clicked to clear the clipboard.

clipboard clear icon

Test and Confirm

To know whether this method is working, simply copy some content to
clipboard and paste it to notepad or MS Word, it should paste. Now double
click the
shortcut on the desktop, you could see a DOS (black screen) pop up and
disappears (make sure it doesn't throw any errors). If this works well, the
clipboard
should have been cleared. To check this, simply paste (Ctrl+V) to the same
notepad or MS Word and you should not see any copied content now. This will
confirm that the
desktop shortcut is working fine.

Afternoon all.

Please forgive me if this question has been posted before. What are the steps
for clearing the ClipBoard in Windows 10, using JAWS 17 on a Dell laptop.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks for that tip; it worked, except I already have an empty clipboard
as the delete option wasn't available, as well as other clipboard
manipulation commands. Another perhaps less time consuming tip: in a
blank edit field, just press a space, select it, then do a cut or copy.
All you'll paste then is, well, an empty character ! Hope that's
useful.
