Yeah, you can change your system date and time to a different date. But,
even though your email will show a fake date, you can still tell the current
date through the message header, so you'd only be fooling a tech neophyte.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Dates on Emails

To All Listers:

I was wondering about something. Is it possible to change the current
date of an email to a past date, regardless of what email program you
have? I hope I phrased the question to where it makes sense.

Thanks.

Jerry,

There are some services which will postpone the sending of emails, if
that's what you want. Try sendlater.com [or that's what I think it is.]

Re: [JAWS-Users] Dates on Emails

2013-02-01 Thread Brian Lee
Hello Jerry,

Outlook uses the date and time set in the Windows Date and Time dialog box
or regional settings. If you wanted to temporarily use an earlier date you
should be able to do that by just changing the date used by Windows.
Outlook settings has a checkbox that can be used to tell Outlook not to send
the message until a certain date but not for a previous date. At least not
as far as I know. I think most other Email clients would also use the
Windows settings but I'm not sure.

Take care.
