I'll forward your message to Access Solutions. They are now in the process
of working on the tripletalk usb issue. They also make the dectalk usb.

I use the Dectalk Express synthesizer with the current release of JAWS 18. For
a while, I was unable to complete JAWS repairs at the .NetFramework
installation point. However, repairs have recently gone straight the way
through.

On a related note, about three years ago, Jaws did an update which seems to
have broken the ability to use the DecTalk synthesizer. I think it had to do
with an update to Microsoft's Netframework.

Has anybodey been able to get the Dectalk to work with newer versions of Jaws?

Ah, got it. An obvious question: did you go through the process of having
JAWS recognize TripleTalk? On the face of it, you must have, or else it
wouldn't be working at all. But I ask anyway. I know how important it is
to maintain access to the synth we like.

I'm a part of the Window-Eyes to JAWS Migration. I just installed the
most current version of jaws. I did contact the company and they said
they didn't hear of anyone with this issue. They said they would do some
testing.

None relating to an external synthesizer that I'm aware of. Again, did
this problem begin after a JAWS or other update? If not, are you able to
contact the manufacturer or sales rep? I don't know if the company is
still around.
Sadly, the maker of the Dectalk Express has long since disappeared in a
maze of mergers.

Yes, the say all command does work with a software synthesizer. This is
why I think it's a tripletalk issue. Does jaws keep any kind of log file
I can look at to see what is going on?

I also have an external synthesizer, Dectalk Express, and I doubt Narrator
could help me solve the problem if it's with the synth. Do you think it's
worth trying "say all" with the internal synthesizer, Eloquence, which I
think is loaded by default. You could find it quickly by pressing JAWS

key+control+s and down-arrowing through the choices.

I have the original tripletalk usb. What happens is, when I start
reading a webpage or html document with the jaws say all command, I lose
speech after a short period of time. I can't even start narrator on
windows 10 to find out what happened.
