Re: [JAWS-Users] Different JAWS versions

2015-07-05 Thread John Justice

As long as those versions are still on your system, you can open an older
version.

1. Make sure that the version you need is still in your system.
2. Next, make sure that it has an icon on your Desktop.
3. If you are adding an icon, you need to explore that version of Jaws and
locate the .exe file.
4. Make sure that the version number is included in the icon. E. G. jaws
14
5. Move to that version of Jaws and press Enter.
Note: When this version of Jaws is loaded, it will take your current version
off line and load the earlier version.
Your current version of Jaws has probably been set up to load automatically
when you start your system. If you shut down your system, it will reboot
with that version active.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Different JAWS versions

Hello-I am currently using JAWS 14 and planning to move forward when thid
computer dies (probably soon). I have several previous versions that I had
used, including JAWS 11, 12 and 13. I want to use an old version of Sound
Forge 8 and I want to use an earlier version of JAWS. Can I bring back any
of these older versions or did 14 stop them from working?

Hi Wayne,

When you install multiple versions of Jaws, you want to install them
starting with the earliest / oldest version 1st. So, when you get your new
computer you will 1st need to know exactly what versions of Jaws will work
with the operating system you will be running.

Take care.
