[JAWS-Users] Dropbox issue

2011-06-09 Thread Jorge Paez
Hi all:
I have a dropbox account set up on my Toshiba laptop with the Dropbox app and
just created a shared folder.
After getting the confirmation that the other person had accepted,
I checked but it doesn't show up in my app.

What's wrong?

And yes, it shows up on the site.

It places a small normally hidden file in each of your drop box directories
with the information it needs if you're sharing the folder. Other than that
I'm sure I understand your question.

Hi George,

I don't understand your question either but, when you share a folder with
someone, and that person's name is Bill, for example, then a folder named
Bill should be in your Dropbox folder. Press Insert / Jaws key + F11, for
the system tray, Arrow to the Dropbox entry, press enter to open, then press
the letterO, to open your Dropbox folder. Is there a folder in here with
the name of the person you are sharing a folder with? If not, invoke the
Alt + F keystroke, for the file menu, press the letterW, for folder, press
the letter F, for new folder. An edit field is now open, type in the first
name of this person you are sharing the folder with press enter. You now
have a folder in your Dropbox for this person. Hope this helps. Take care.

Hi George,

As I stated in my last post, do the following to put a folder with the name
of this person you are sharing the folder with in the Dropgbox folder.
1. Open the System Tray using the keystroke, Insert / Jaws key + F11.
2. Arrow down to the Dropbox entry press enter.
3. Press the letter O, to open the Dropbox folder.
4. Now, we need to create a new folder. Press Alt + F, for the file menu,
press the letter W, for folder, press the letter F, for new folder. You
are now in an edit field. Type in the name of the person that you are
sharing this folder with press enter, to close the edit field. You now
have a new folder in your Dropbox folder that you will use to share with the
other person.

Hope this helps. Take care.

  Hi Miss Maria,

Thank you very much but, if weren't for this list lists' like this I
don't
know what I would have done when I started trying to learn how to use Jaws

a computer. These lists' are a very valuable resource if weren't for
people like Mr. Ferrin, Mr. Justice, Brian Lee, Flor Lynch, David
Whitehead,
Don Marang, yourself, God only knows how many others that I haven't
mentioned, I don't know where I would be other than a permanent resident
in
Doctor Phil's office! Personally I would like to thank all the list
members
for their contributions. As I have stated since the time I joined the
list,
There are no stupid questions, the only stupid question, is the one that
is
not asked! For all members, thank you all very much, take care.

 Hi George,

I don't understand your question either but, when you share a folder
  with
someone, and that person's name is Bill, for example, then a folder
  named
Bill should be in your Dropbox folder. Press Insert / Jaws key + F11,
  for
the system tray, Arrow to the Dropbox entry, press enter to open, then
  press
the letterO, to open your Dropbox folder. Is there a folder in here
  with
the name of the person you are sharing a folder with? If not, invoke
  the
Alt + F keystroke, for the file menu, press the letterW, for folder,
  press
the letter F, for new folder. An edit field is now open, type in the
  first
name of this person you are sharing the folder with press enter.
You
  now
have a folder in your Dropbox for this person. Hope this helps. Take

I mean I shared the folder and it shows on the website,
but the icon doesn't pop up on the app.

  Hi all:
I have a dropbox account set up on my Toshiba laptop with the
  Dropbox
 app
and just created a shared folder.
After getting the confirmation that the other person had
accepted,
I checked but it doesn't show up in my app.

  What's wrong?

And yes, it shows up on the site.

  Jorge

Take care.
