Internet Explorer allows (and allowed more easyly in prior versions) to
edit web pages locally. That is possible in Firefox (and perhaps Chrome
too) with the Developer Tools, but they're not so intuitive. In IE this is
in the File menu, and in Firefox in Tools\Developer Tools.
If you want to edit a Word document downloaded from the Internet in Word
2010 or newer which by default open Word 97-2003 files in Protected View,
press F6 to go to the status bar and find the Enable Editing button there.

Hi all,

I thought I remembered a keystroke to be able to see the notices like enable
editing when a new web page came up.  Is there such a thing and if so what
is the keystroke?
