[JAWS-Users] Facebook Messenger and Google Chrome.

2017-03-02 Thread Judy Jones
Hello, Listers,

I am new to the list, and am asking a slightly different question from
earlier.

Where my real trouble with Facebook and Chrome is, is in trying to compose a
message in the messages section. I can find my recipient, and it appears to
be in the recipient edit field, but above the field, there is a message that
says No Recipients.

Any advice on any workarounds?

Other than that, I'm loving Chrome, and have only been using it for a few
hours. BTW, I am using the mobile site for Facebook, but have found the
same problem with Messenger on the regular Facebook site. Using Jaws 17
with Windows 10.

Thanks.

Judy

I use a different messenger app that allows you to connect all sorts of
messenger services like Facebook, google talk, AIM, yahoo, etc.

Try instantbird

And yes it works fairly well with jaws.

Hi,
Try this,

1, open the message from the person whom you wish to copy their user name.

2, now shift + tab until you hear;
>From field: the person's name and email address.

Move your left arrow to highlight the name/email.
Also, control + left arrow and control + Home, they all will work depend on
what office, choose the one that works for you better.

Press shift + control +right arrow to select the address.
Or, shift + down arrow to select the address.
The first one works better in 2013.

Now, paste the address in a practice doc and clean up the address.

Then recopy it and paste it in a new mail too Field.

AllenI just noticed that you are in Dallas. I am writing you off of list
because I just wanted to envite you to our support meeting that we have on
the first Thursday of each month. Hear, let me tell you a little about our
group.

What is the All Eyes group ? We are a support group of adults, who are blind
or partially sighted and family members impacted by blindness. If you have
been diagnosed with an eye condition, been in an accident, or have a disease
that has led to the loss of all or most of your sight, or if you have become
a caregiver for someone who has, joining a support group may be the most
important thing you will ever do. Our meetings offer an opportunity to talk
to others, share common concerns, frustrations, and stories, and find
solutions to vision-related difficulties. At All Eyes meetings you will
meet and make friends with people who understand the issues you face and
know exactly what you are going through. But that's not all, At all eyes we
have fun.

When attending an All Eyes group meeting, you may often find yourself
laughing. In addition to our monthly meetings we have birthday and holiday
parties. We have fun at game nites. And we have meet ups at local
restaurants. While we all know that being blind isn't easy, we promote a
positive approach and believe that we still can work, have fun, make friends
and live valuable and productive lives.

The All Eyes group meets at 10:00 AM on the first Thursday of every month
to network and share information on topics relating to vision loss .
Meetings are held at REACH Resource Center, which is located at 8625 King
George Dr. in Dallas. Anyone, who is dealing with issues related to
blindness, is welcome to attend.

For more information call LeDon at 972.681.4851.

I read that there is a Facebook desktop app, its what preceded windows live
messenger. Facebook messenger I guess allows to use Facebook messaging off the
browser is what I read. the problem is that I installed it and it is not
assessable with the keyboard. bgut it is a snap to uninstall. I don’t know if
anyone has developed a messager that can work with facebook, does anyone know
anything about this?
email is golden !

blind computing list. The thing is we can't be here all of the time so
proceed with caution.
