A few years ago with a grant they purchased jaws and I set it up for them. -Original Message- From: Rick Justice Sent: Friday, December 08, 2017 9:01 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Hokey for the new shade curtain Have you stopped to consider that maybe the screen-reader user may be using headphones so the audio may not be heard? Re: [JAWS-Users] Hokey for the new shade curtain
Good point, but since it is invoked with a couple key strokes it shouldn't be a large deal. I would imagine if say JAWS would happen to crash so that the system would need to be rebooted then your screen would go back on. Now that is probably worse case event. -Original Message- From: Dennis Long Sent: Friday, December 8, 2017 6:24 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Hoykey for the new shade curtain I agree. I would like to see an option to have it carry across sessions if the computer is rebooted or jaws is restarted have it ask if screen Curtin was on if you want Screen Curtin on. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of David Ferrin Sent: Friday, December 08, 2017 6:20 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Hoykey for the new shade curtain If your lap top already has such a feature then it is kind of redundant. How ever if it does not or you forget the key command then it comes in to play. For example this particular lap top I own might have that feature but I have never been able to find a manual so for me it will be a good thing. -Original Message- From: Kimsan Sent: Friday, December 8, 2017 2:16 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Hoykey for the new shade curtain I'm not wanting to start a battle here, I'm just curious about something...
