[JAWS-Users] Jaws and wireless head-sets.

2009-06-12 Thread Larry Stansifer
Hi folks,

A number of years ago Plantronics produced a telephone
head-set where one side had a combination ear phone and
Microphone and the other side plugged directly into the
computer's sound card. Phone calls were routed to one ear
and Jaws was routed to the other. I would like to duplicate
the same working environment only in a wireless
configuration.
Wireless telephone head-sets are extremely common place
however I am not sure about the sound card/Jaws wireless
technology.
Any ideas?

Hi Holger,

I think what Larry is wanting, is information on who makes the headset you
use and where he can find more information about the headset and how it
works. Take care.

Re: [JAWS-Users] Jaws and wireless head-sets.

2009-06-12 Thread Annette Carr
I have not seen a wireless headset of this type, but you might want to
contact Plantronics. I believe that they were the first to come up with the
combination wired type. When you talk to a Plantronics representative, they
may not know much about specialty products. If they do not, ask to speak to
someone about their combination wired headset, and maybe you will find
someone who knows the facts about a wireless model.

The other day I was looking for telephone headsets compatible with hearing
aids, and came across a UK web site that carried a headset that had a
standard ear piece on one side, and a hearing aid t-coil piece on the other
side. Haven't found such a thing in the U.S.

HTH
Annette
