[JAWS-Users] Key labels in JAWS12 Settings Center
Hi, Has anybody been able to mute (toggle mute button) keys in the key labels dialogue or tab in JAWS12 (Application or Default) Settings Center? In previous versions, you used the JAWS Configuration Manager and there were up to 84 keys in the list view; and you could mute a lot of them, so a muted key wouldn't be spoken when pressed. In JAWS12 Settings Center key labels tab there are 0 keys in the listview. So it appears one can't mute any key there. An egregious oversight. (Windows XP Home.) I'm also using JAWS12.0.525. I had a lot of problems with this myself. However, what seems to work for me is to bring up settings center and type ctrl shift d then in the search box type manage key label, tab once for the list and hit enter and you will see 84 keys you can modify.
