[JAWS-Users] Microsoft Silverlight

2015-01-13 Thread Hicks Steven (CORNWALL IT SERVICES)
Hi friends,

We have just deployed SCCM and have a web page for installing applications.
This web page is Microsoft Silverlight and when you select an application, it
comes up with a confirmation yes/no box. JAWS won't seem to read this
confirmation Window, does anyone have any experience with Silverlight and are
there any work around available?

You can try playing with your virtual cursor--turning it on and off. As you
make your way through the program, you may wind up experimenting with Forms
mode to see what works well for you. Right now, I'm wrestling with some arrows
that sometimes respond to commands and sometimes not. I hate it when I see a
control I can't activate, and it really slows down routine operations; I can't
exactly call a sighted colleague every time I need to perform a simple
function. Ironically, the state had a perfectly functional program to do the
same job, until someone decided to improve it. Nonetheless, we're a lot closer
than we were 6 months ago--far too close to give up.

Don't seem to be able to find anything on the screen relating to the yes or no
buttons to be honest.

Know what you mean. That virtual trick sometimes works to read individual
fields or boxes. This capability is still new and raw, so be sure to keep FS
in the loop.

[JAWS-Users] Microsoft Silverlight

2013-07-12 Thread Fred Adams
I would appreciate it if someone would tell me what the program Microsoft
Silverlight does and if it is something needed or something I can do
without and do no harm. I want to get rid of Bing search and it mentions
this program in the removal as best I can understand. I just wish to be
careful before I start removing a program from my computer. Thanks much
for any help.
