Re: [JAWS-Users] Office 2013 with JAWS
Yeah I know. Yeah Win 8 aint that different but for the few things that are. The start screen is the really big thing, but other than that, it's almost like Win 7. Like I said, I had just thought you had checked it out on win 8 is all. That's fine if you didn't after all, for what we do with it there shouldn't be too much of a difference with it on Win 7 or 8 I gather. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Kliphton Sent: Monday, February 18, 2013 11:26 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Office 2013 with JAWS Right, and since the touch screen stuff doesn't interest me, I have no desire to install windows 8. Re: [JAWS-Users] Office 2013 with JAWS
I guess the signature thing could be major if you are a bit skeptic, the E-mail account not being listed could really be major, and the spell check thing really is major. The sky drive thing, well if you're going to usit, then it really is major too. I guess one could get away with Office 2013. At least I could but for the spell check. I mean, I don't have a lot of E-mail accounts, I don't really use signitures all that much, and as for sky drive, I'm kind of skeptical about all that cloud stuff. I mean if the internet goes down, so does the access your stuff. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Kliphton A M Sent: Monday, February 18, 2013 12:17 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Office 2013 with JAWS I was the one who said he was using jaws 14 and office 2013. The main thing that doesn't work is when you go to type a signature, it doesn't read you the text, but it is there. When you try to switch between accounts it won't tell you witch account is highlighted. Spell check does the same thing, it will tell you there is a miss spelled word, but not read you the suggestions. Your suppose to be able to sign in to your sky drive account, and have your word documents saved there, but mine always tells me to look because there were arrows discovered. That's all I have found so far. FS knows, so we will see if they address it in the next update. As for activating office, now you go through an automated system, that walks you through and asks questions about how many pc's you have activated there product on, say 1, and it will give you a knew one. Ah so you can ha? Well some one told me it wasn't worth the money. How much did they charge you? He told me that you might just as well buy the new one. In this case either 2010 if it can be found, or 2013. Very interesting. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Merv Keck Sent: Saturday, February 16, 2013 12:07 PM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Office 2013 with JAWS You can call Microsoft and beg them to give you an activation of your current version of Office but it's a major pain in the butt. Re: [JAWS-Users] Office 2013 with Jaws 14
Ah perhaps not. I just seem to remember someone saying something about it here when the last update came out. Then some one told them to try it with said update and see if what little issues they had had been fixed. But you're right. Perhaps calling FS aint such a bad idea. -Original Message- From: JAWS-Users-List [mailto:jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com] On Behalf Of Rick Justice Sent: Friday, February 15, 2013 5:57 AM To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Office 2013 with Jaws 14 It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to consult FS.
